Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Feb. 6

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 6:

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Sunday, Jan. 31 at 5:08 p.m. an adult male was contacted at a business located in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. The male was subsequently arrested for public intoxication. He was transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections and booked into the facility. Subject was to be released with no charges filed, per PC 849(b)(2). Report to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Sunday, Jan. 31 at 4:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the victim regarding a theft from a briefcase. Report taken, victim only wanted documentation and no prosecution desired at this time. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold juvenile intoxication
On Sunday, Jan. 31 at 7:01 p.m. a deputy assigned to the Chukchansi Gold Casino and Resort Patrol Detail locate a motor vehicle accident along Lucky Lane. A Criminal Case Number was taken regarding one of juvenile passengers being intoxicated. The juvenile was turned over to his mother. The case is being fowarded to Madera County Probation Department, Juvenile Unit for charges.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Monday, Feb. 1 at 00:44 a.m. a deputy assigned to the Chukchansi Gold Casino and Resort was contacted by Security Dispatch regarding an intoxicated guest. The subject was contacted and found to be drunk in public. The subject was unable to care for herself or help locate someone who could. The subject was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail. A Criminal Case File was pulled and the report is being forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Monday, Feb. 1 at 9:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a 38000 block for a coroner report. Report taken, photographs taken, and case forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Chief Coroner for review.

Coarsegold trespassing
On Monday, Feb. 1 at 10:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 33000 Global Pl. in regards to subjects who trespassed on the property. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

Bass Lake theft
On Monday, Feb. 1 at 2:02 p.m. a deputy was flagged down in the 54000 block of Willow Cove regarding a theft of some items. Report taken. Case to be closed

Coarsegold found property
On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 9:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to found property in Coarsegold. Report taken and the property was entered into evidence. Case closed.

Oakhurst vehicle vandalism
On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40100 block of Highway 49 regarding vandalism to some vehicles. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst restraining order violation
On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 4:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party on the phone regarding a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Report taken. Case to go to District Attorneys Office.

Ahwahnee coroner report
On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 5:15 deputies responded to the area of the 43000 block of Metcalf Gap Road for a deceased subject. A report was written and forwarded to the Chief-Coroner.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 8:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Golden Oak Drive and Golden Oak Loop regarding a burglary to a storage container. The suspect cut the door lock and stole several chain saws along with tree climbing equipment. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold assault
On Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 11:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 38000 CA-41 regarding an assault. The victim advised that his adult son accused him of stealing some wire and assaulted him. The victim requested no charges and did not want to purse anything at this time. Refer report closed.

Raymond vandalism
On Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 600 in regards to a vandalism report. Upon arrival, statements were obtained from the reporting party and photographs taken. Two potential suspects named. Statements obtained from the suspects. Case to forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 Hodges Hill Drive regarding vandalism to a mail box and a package was stolen. The victim was notified. Requesting this report be suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 3:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 50000 block of Road 426 for a report of theft from a mailbox cluster located in the 50000 block of Road 426. no arest was made, the suspect is unknown. Case forward to the Oakhurst U.S. Post Master for further investigation.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 8:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of CA-41 in Oakhurst regarding a vandalism. Unknown subject(s) threw a rock and broke a window and also damaged a computer. There were no substantial leads. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 10:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 to investigate a residential burglary. Upon arrival statements are obtained from the reporting parties. Numerous tools were taken from the interior of the residence, which is currently vacant and being remodeled. Potential physical evidence was located at the scene and booked into the Oakhurst substation for processing. One possible suspect is identified after speaking with witnesses. Additional investigation is needed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 12:10 p.m. a deputy was on an unrelated call at a residence at the block of 39000 Pine Ridge Way. A subject had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold dispute
On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 1:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Longview Drive in regards to a verbal argument between two adults. Upon arrival statements were obtained from both parties. The statements were conflicting and both informed the deputy that everything was now fine. Report taken for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold missing juveniles
On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7:39 p.m. a deputy was flagged down in the Coarsegold area by a male who advised he believed his juvenile son might be runaway/missing. An investigation was conducted which resulted in the investigation of two male juveniles reported runaway/missing from the Oakhurst area. Deputies conducted a thorough search of the immediate area with negative results. Report forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 8:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Hodges Hill Dr. for a report of mail theft. There is no suspect information at this time, and a report was taken.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 2:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 37000 Road 425C regarding theft of a window and frame from the exterior of a building. The caretaker requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst aggravated assault
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 3:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road in order to investigate an assault. Upon arrival statements were obtained from the reporting party, the victim and the victim’s father. A suspect is named and identified by the victim. The victim fled the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. This report is to remain open, pending additional follow up.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 3:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The victim was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend and received a physical injury. The male subject was arrested and transported to MDOC. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 4:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a possible violation of a domestic violence restraining order. At this time there is no proof that the boyfriend violated the restraining order. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold cat bite
On Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone call for a report of cat bite that occurred in the 44000 block of Trabuco Road. The case is forward to the Madera County Animal Control for further investigation.

North Fork family disturbance
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to an address in the 30000 block of Road 222 in regards to a family disturbance call for service. Upon arrival, all involved parties are contacted and statements are obtained. This case is to be closed due to the lack of evidence needed to prosecute this case.

North Fork aggravated assault
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8 a.m. an adult male reported a felony assault that occurred several weeks prior somewhere in North Fork. A suspect is named, however, it is unclear when and where this assault occurred. Case to be suspended pending contact from a possible witness.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 5:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a theft report that occurred in the 49000 block of River Park Road. Unknown suspect(s) remove items from an unlocked vehicle. There were no witnesses or physical evidence in this case. Report to be suspended.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 4:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a female subject was having a mental break down. After investigating this issue it was determined that the female had been drinking, has depression issue and discharged a firearm to scare her husband. She went to the hospital under a W&I 5150 mental health evaluation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst weapons threat
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8:04 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 39000 block of Orion Way  regarding a male making threats to shooting a female during an argument. An investigation was conducted and a male suspect was arrested for criminal threats as well as weapons related charges. Charges are being requested and report forwarded to juvenile probation.

Raymond aggravated assault
On Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 31000 block of East Street for a report of a female physically attacking her mother. The suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Department of Correction. Case forward to the Madera County District attorney to persue the charges against the suspect.
