Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Feb. 14

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Feb. 7 to Sunday, Feb. 14 2016:

Coarsegold vandalism
On Sunday, Feb. 7 at 4:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 43000 block of Ranger Circle Dr. for a report of vandalism to a living room window. No arrest was made, the suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Sunday, Feb. 7 at 4:35 a.m. a deputy responded to the 43000 Block of Ranger Circle Drive for a report of vandalism. A Criminal Case File was taken for the incident. The scene was processed for physical evidence and statements were obtained. The area was checked for possible suspect(s) with negative results. The case is being closed pending further information and/or leads.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Sunday, Feb. 7 at 8:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Ranger Circle Dr. in regards to a vandalism report. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

North Fork restraining order violation
On Sunday, Feb. 7 at 5:03 p.m. deputies responded to the area in the 30000 block of Road 222 for a violation of a restraining order report. A report was generated and forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

Raymond missing person search
On Sunday, Feb. 7 at 11:25 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 600 for a missing person call. Deputies contacted the reporting party who said a friend had called for a ride stating she had been assaulted. The missing person did not know where she was. An investigation was started and several locations were checked for the missing person. A CHP helicopter was brought in to assist in the search. The missing person was located at an address on the 34000 block of Rifle Road. She refused medical. A report was taken to document the incident.

Coarsegold suicide
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 12:20 a.m. deputies responded to the area of Road 200 and Highway 41 for a coroner’s report. It was determined that the subject committed suicide by self-inflicted gunshot. A report was taken and forwarded to the Chief-Coroner.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 12:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 Block of Hopi Ave. regarding a physical family disturbance between a father and son. Investigation concluded the son had been threatening the father and causing several physical confrontations resulting in the arrest of the son. Son was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections and charges were forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

North Fork court order violation
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 10:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Road 222 regarding a subject at the location violating the court order against him. Subject was located in a house on the property and placed under arrest. Subject booked at Madera County jail. Case to go to District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst domestic assault
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 10:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 480000 block of River Park Road regarding a domestic assault. Report taken, evidence obtained, arrest made and case forwarded to the Madera County District Atorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Ahwahnee threats
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 12:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact the reporting party about some threats made by a soon-to-be ex-husband, including several incidents that occurred on Barcus Circle and also in the 41000 block of Gray Eagle Court in Ahwahnee. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Monday, Feb. 8 at 4:35 p.m. deputies responded to the area fo the 49000 block of Vista Heights Lane for a coroner’s report. At this time the causes of death are unknown. A case was written and forwarded to the Chief-Coroner.

North Fork residential burglary
On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 9:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Weatherly Lane in regards to a residential burglary report. No arrest were made, the scene was processed for physical evidence and a case report was written.

Oakhurst mailbox vandalism
On Tuesday, Feb. 9 a deputy was dispatched to call the Oakhurst Postmaster regarding some vandalism to some parcel lockers located in the 50000 block of Cedar Valley Drive and the 49000 block of Meadow Wood. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst mailbox vandalism
On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the Oakhurst Postmaster regarding some vandalism to a parcel locker located at the 49000 block of Meadow Wood in Oakhurst. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12:15 a.m. deputies responded to an audible alarm on the 31000 block of CA-41 in Coarsegold. During the check of the premises, deputies found a hole in the back wall of the business. An investigation was started and a report was taken.

Coarsegold child abuse
On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 2:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 415 in regards to a report of child abuse. No arrest were made and a case report was written. The case was forwarded to the Detective Division for further follow up.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 4:10 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 31000 block of North Dome Dr. for a burglary report. The scene was processed for evidence and a report was generated for this incident. Case was closed until further investigative leads arise.

Oakhurst assault
On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 Block of Laurel Drive regarding an assault between two females. Investigation concluded both parties involved were victims and offenders and the case will be submitted to the Madera County District Attorney’s office for review.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7:42 p.m. a deputy was provided with telephonic traffic regarding a burglary from an automobile in the 49000 Block of Golden Oak Drive. Investigation concluded two items were taken from the vehicle and one of the items taken was recovered by the Fresno Police Department.

North Fork danger to self
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 56200 block of Manzanita Lake Drive in North Fork, regarding a report of a possibly suicidal female. During the investigation the female was found a danger to herself due to a mental condition and was placed on a 5150 W&I, 72 hour hold for evaluation and treatment. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold identity theft
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 11:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact reporting party regarding identity theft. Suspend case due to lack of evidence or suspects.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 12:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The victim claimed her husband of 3 years had grabbed her and threw a comb at her head. She had a visible injury. The male subject was later arrested and transported to MDOC. Forward to the D.A’s office for charges.

North Fork credit card fraud
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 1:29 p.m. a deputy responded to the Madera County Sheriff Oakhurst substation regarding a telephonic report of a credit card fraud. After the interview with the victim, it was found that the unauthorized transaction was made in Fresno, Ca. Forward this courtesy report to the Fresno County Sheriff Department for further investigation.

Coarsegold sex offense
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 1:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff Oakhurst substation regarding report of a sex offense case involving a minor. After a thorough investigation, this report will be forwarded to Detective for further investigation.

Oakhurst weapons recovered
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48000 Lindsay Lane regarding a subject was deceased at the Fresno VA hospital and there were guns in the apartment. The maintenance supervisor had located two rifles while he was changing the door locks. The rifles were recovered and booked at the Oakhurst Substation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst dog attack
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 3:02 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of road 415 to assist EMS. The call stated that a male subject was having trouble breathing due to a pit bull attacking his dog. The pit bull was loose and in the area. Incident report taken and case to be closed.

Coarsegold warrants arrest
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a patrol check. One adult female was arrested for warrants out of Kings County and for alcohol related charges. A case report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for filing of charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Yosemite High School regarding a student who required a psychiatric hold. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff Oakhurst substation regarding theft of medication (Hydrocodone pain medication). Case to be closed due to lack of evidential leads.

Coarsegold identity theft
On Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff Oakhurst substation regarding an identity theft case of someone using the reporting party’s social security number. Case closed due to lack of evidential leads.

North Fork arrest
On Friday, Feb. 12 at 12:05 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 30000 block of Road 222 in North Fork for a report of a restraining order violation in progress. Deputies contacted Bradley Carmen and found him to be in violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Carmen was arrested for violation of a protective order and a violation of probation. Carmen was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, Feb. 14 at 1:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block on CA-41 in Coarsegold regarding a assault. After further investigation the call for service was found to be a carjacking. Report taken, evidence obtained, arrest made, and case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office for charges to be filed.
