Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Dec. 27

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Dec. 20 through Dec. 27, 2015.

North Fork burglary
On Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8:47 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 60000 block of Happy Oak Lane regarding a burglary. Report written, evidence obtained, no arrests made, and case closed due to lack of evidence leads.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop
On Sunday, Dec. 20 at 11:02 a.m. a vehicle stop resulted in a vehicle being towed due to out of date registration.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2:02 p.m. deputies took a mail theft report which occurred in the area of Pine Meadow and Road 423 from a mail box cluster. A report was generated and later closed until further investigative leads arise.

North Fork gasoline theft
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 9:10 a.m. deputies took a gas theft report that occurred in the area of the 57000 block of Old Mill Site Ct. The report was closed until further investigative leads arise.

North Fork suicide
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 10:02 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 54000 block of Pinchot Dr. for a possible deceased subject. Located deceased person who commited suicide. A case was generated and forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 8:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakurst substation to take a theft report by telephone. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

Coarsegold Coroner’s Report
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 12:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Chukchansi Road in regards to a Coroner’s report. The decedent cause of death appeared to be natural. A case report was written and forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 12:39 p.m. deputies took a theft report that occurred in the area of the 35000 block of Highway 41. The report was closed until further investigative leads arise.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 4:27 p.m. deputies took a theft report in the area of the 45000 block of Sutton Dr. The report was closed until further investigative leads arise.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Monday, Dec. 21 at 7:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31800 block of Cherokee Road regarding a report of a family disturbance. During the investigation an adult male at the residence was placed into custody and transported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Coarsegold Coroner’s Report
On Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 5:31 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 31000 block of Revis Road for a Coroner’s report. At this time it appears the deceased subject died from unknown causes. A report was generated and forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 4:08 p.m. a deputy dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation in regards to mail theft that occurred in the area of Wells Rd and Wells Rd W. The victim was contacted by telephone and a report was written.

North Fork theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 8:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Way-Up-Way and Road 222 in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival statements are obtained and the scene is photographed. There are no suspect(s) in this case and no current investigative leads. Case to be suspended.

Coarsegold vehicle theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 11:19 a.m. a deputy is dispatched to the 31000 block of Hogans Mountain Road to investigate an alleged kidnapping and stolen vehicle. Upon arrival a statement is obtained from the victim. It is determined that no kidnapping took place, however, the victims vehicle was stolen from her. The victim knew the suspect on a personal level. The California Highway Patrol subsequently responded and took the stolen vehicle report. The victim wished to report an assault that occurred shortly before the vehicle was stolen.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 2:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Road 426 at a business regarding a subject who was causing a disturbance. The subject was later located at the Oakhurst Park. He was drinking alcohol and intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked. Refer to D.A’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 7:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Ranger Circle Dr. regarding a cold theft of EMADCO trash cans. There were no leads. This case is to be closed.

Oakhurst theft recovery
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 10:08 a.m. an incident took place regarding a recovery of a possible stolen snow mobile. The snow mobile was reported stolen with CHP on 12/14/15. The possible owner was contacted and given our case number. This report is to be forwarded to CHP.

Bass Lake theft
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 54000 Crane Valley regarding a burglary. The victim advised that someone had stolen a battery charger from the opened garage. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a theft report that occurred from a community mailbox in the area of Road 426 and Sierra Lakes Drive. The victim requests telephonic contact. There are currently no suspect(s), witnesses or investigative leads in this case.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 12:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding possible items missing. The victim advised that she rented a room to a subject who has a restraining order against her. She now claims that property is missing from the garage. The victim advised that she had heard her property is in storage. Request report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 1:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Dorstan Drive in regards to a possible mail theft. Statements are obtained from two of the three involved subjects. This report was taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 5:22 p.m. a deputy conducted a self-initiated subject stop regarding a female pushing a stolen shopping cart. The female was shown to have four misdemeanor local warrants. She was cited and released at scene for the warrants, case closed.

Coarsegold Coroner’s Report
On Thursday, Dec. 24 at 6:07 p.m. a deputy responded to the 34000 blk. of Polk Ranch Road for a report of a deceased person. A report was generated and the case was closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, Dec. 25 at 11:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of River Park Rd. regarding a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier in the morning. The reporting party/victim declined to pursue any charges and only wanted this incident documented. Case is to be closed.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Saturday, Dec. 26 at 8:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 Block of Lauri Lane regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Investigation concluded the male party involved was at fault, placed under arrest, and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections. Charges forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Saturday, Dec. 26 at 8:47 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Elliott Drive for suspicious activity. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated there were two subjects near the side of the house appearing to try and break in to their daughter’s bedroom. Further investigation revealed the daughter was involved with some older high school subjects who were now mad at her for unknown reasons and wanting to beat her up. A report was taken to document the incident.

Coarsegold theft
On Saturday, Dec. 26 at 10:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation for telephonic traffic regarding outdoor lights being stolen from the 30000 Block of Running River Drive. Investigation concluded the lights were stolen by an unknown subject(s) and a report was requested for documentation.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Sunday, Dec. 27 at 00:19 a deputy was flagged down by a citizen in the 45000 Block of CA-41 regarding a runaway juvenile. Investigation concluded the juvenile had possibly left the Oakhurst area with some of her friends and was planning on being out of town resulting in the mother requesting a missing person report be made regarding her daughter.

North Fork intoxication
On Sunday, Dec. 27 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of an intoxicated subject on the 33100 block of Road 222 in North Fork. Local man arrested and booked for public intoxication.
