Sheriff’s Crime Log Nov. 22 – 29

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week beginning Sunday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.

North Fork domestic violence
On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 59000 block of South Cascadel Drive regarding a domestic assault with an intoxicated male subject who shoved his wife. Report written, evidence obtained, male subject arrested, PCD generated, EPO issued, and charges forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 9:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 51500 block of Quail Run Drive regarding a report of a theft. The theft reportedly occurred at a U. S. Postal mailbox cluster located at the intersection of Quail Ridge Road and Road 426, in Oakhurst. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 36000 block of Wells Road regarding a physical fight between family members. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Recommending case be closed due due to conflicting statements between parties subsequently not meeting the criteria for a crime.

Bass Lake firearm discharged
On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 10:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 regarding an accidental discharge of a firearm. Report taken.
Case to be closed.

Ahwahnee theft
On Sunday, Nov. 22 at 6:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 Block of Leonard Ct. in regards to a theft and a report was completed. Report forwarded to east county detectives.

Oakhurst accident
On Monday, Nov. 23 at 8:12 a.m. a deputy was advised of a traffic accident that just occurred at the Sheriff’s Oakhurst Substation involving a Sheriff’s Patrol vehicle and a volunteer employee. No one was injured during the incident, but extensive county property was damaged. The California Highway Patrol was also dispatched and conducted an investigation. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst child abuse
On Monday, Nov. 23 at 9:32 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call at the 50200 Block of School Road for a juvenile runaway that was located. An interview was conducted and it was determined child abuse had occurred resulting in the juvenile being placed on a welfare hold. Charges of child abuse are being requested.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Monday, Nov. 23 at 10:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Oakhurst Substation regarding a report of a fraud. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst identity theft
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding identity theft. Report taken. Case to be closed.

North Fork forgery
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 11:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding a fraud case. Report taken. Investigation is on-going. Case to remain open.

Oakhurst juvenile with marijuana
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 1:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 50000 block of Road 427 regarding a student found with marijuana. Report written. Case to go to Juvenile probation.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 2:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Meadow Wood regarding a theft. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst report of theft
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 4:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding a theft from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken. Items later found at owners’ house in a different vehicle. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst search and rescue
On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 5:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Sky Ranch Road regarding a possible Search and Rescue call for a female whose vehicle was stuck in the mud. Investigation concluded upon location of the female and her vehicle.

Oakhurst commercial burglary
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 00:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 Block of Road 228 regarding a commercial burglary. Investigation concluded unknown suspect attempted to take tools from a locked storage container after cutting through a chain link fence. Suspect was scared off and it is unknown what items were taken.

North Fork burglary
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 9:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Road 200 in regards to a burglary report. The victim contacted the sheriff’s office to report that a pump house was broken into. Upon arrival a statement was obtained from the victim and evidence was collected from the scene. This report is to be suspended due to a lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst identity theft
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 10:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation for a victim who was reporting identity theft. Deputy arrived and took the report. Case closed.

Coarsegold dog bite
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 2:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of CA-41 in regards to a dog fight. Dispatch reported that one person had been bitten by a dog while attempting to break up the fight. The deputy arrived a short time later and made contact with both owners of the dog and the individual that was bitten. Report taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 3:37 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of Highway 49 in Oakhurst regarding a theft of alcohol from a business. Suspect information was insufficient to conduct further investigation. Case to be closed

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 3:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Hwy 41 to assist with evicting some subjects from a hotel room. A warrant check was done and one subject was arrested on a warrant from out of county.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 7:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Long Hollow Drive regarding a possible cold burglary to a residence. After further investigation the suspect(s) never entered into the home, nothing was stolen from the home, and windows were shattered/damaged. The incident was determined to be a vandalism. Report written, evidence obtained, no arrests made, and case closed due to a lack of evidence leads.

Oakhurst threats
On Thursday, Nov. 26 at 12:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Bon Veu Drive in regards to a report of threats. Two of the involved subjects were contacted during a traffic stop in Oakhurst. Statements were obtained from all involved parties. A report was requested for documentation only. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold found property
On Thursday, Nov. 26 at 12:46 p.m. a deputy responded to a general area in the 44000 block of Trabuco Road regarding found property. The property was booked for disposal.

Coarsegold dog theft
On Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 36000 block of Mattie Fye Road in regards to a theft report. The victim contacted the sheriff’s office to report that her ex-boyfriend stole her dog. Emails and text messages were obtained from the victim that corroborate her claim. The suspect was contacted via telephone and admited to taking the dog, however, he claimed he took it due to it being left outside in cold weather. The suspect agrees to make arrangements with the victim in order to return the dog.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Nov. 27 at 9:17 a.m. a deputy responded to a business located in the 41000 block of CA-41 regarding theft of money. Investigation is ongoing at this time.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 45400 block of Meadow Brook Road regarding a report of an assault. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing related charge.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 30700 block of Titan Drive regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 8:13 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a disturbance at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. During the disturbance a glass door was broken. The suspect was later contacted and released. A report was taken. Submit to DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 9:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 Block of Apache Road regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Investigation concluded there was a verbal argument, and due to no tenancy agreement the male subject involved in the argument was told to leave the property and he was not allowed to return.
