Sheriff's Office Honors Employees Of The Year

MADERA COUNTY – Two members of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office have been selected as employees of the year for their dedication and service to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Madera County in 2012.

Deputy Sheriff Richard Gonzales was tapped “Deputy of the Year.” It is the second time for Deputy Gonzales to be recognized for his outstanding performance.

CSO Jo Ann EvansCommunity Service Officer Jo Ann Evans has been named “Civilian of the Year.” This newly established honor was spearheaded by Sheriff John Anderson, who believes it is time for civilian employees to be recognized for their great efforts as well.

Both honorees were handpicked by their peers.

Deputy Gonzales patrols the foothill communities of Eastern Madera County.

CSO Evans, recently named Coordinator of the Year, works out of the Sheriff’s Oakhurst substation. She is coordinator for both the Explorer’s Program and the department’s Citizens on Patrol Unit. She also operates the Sheriff’s Live Scan Unit.
