Services For Albert Moody, 1939 – 2017

COARSEGOLD — Services for beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Albert (Al) Moody will be held on Friday, Apr. 21 at Our Lady of the Sierra Catholic Church in Oakhurst.

A local artist and Green Bay Packers backer, Mr. Moody passed away at home in Coarsegold on Sunday, Apr. 9, after a seven-year battle with cancer.

Born on Aug. 9, 1939 in Ecorse, Michigan, to parents Louis and Marion Moody, Albert was raised in Munising.

He worked for 40 years in the automotive industry before retiring from Diamler Chrysler in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in June of 2000. In retirement, Al pursued his artistic passions, and was especially fond of working with pastels. Mr. Moody was also an avid Cribbage player.

Al was married to Marla Moody for 54 years. In addition to his cherished wife, Mr. Moody is survived by a son Jeff, daughter Kerri, and nine grandchildren: Max, Sam, Jack, Cal, Aadin, Gabby, Ronnie, Andrew and Vanessa.

Remembrances may be made to Our Lady of the Sierra Catholic Church or Disabled American Veterans.

A viewing at Our Lady of the Sierra takes place at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. The church is located at 40180 Indian Springs Road in Oakhurst.
