Sentence Handed Down In Oakhurst Murder Case

BASS LAKE — The man found guilty of murder and attempted murder in the stabbing of two people in Oakhurst last year was sentenced today in Bass Lake Superior Court.

George Taylor-Windsor was sentenced to 25 years to life for first degree murder, and 14 years for attempted murder, to be served consecutively.

Taylor-Windsor, 26, was found guilty on May 10 of first degree murder in the stabbing death of Jessica Nelson, 23, of Foresthill, Calif., as well as guilty of the special allegation of using a deadly weapon in the commission of the murder.

Taylor-Windsor was found guilty of second degree attempted murder for the stabbing of Reid Kallenberg, 32, of Auburn, along with the special allegation for use of a deadly weapon.

The incident happened on Nov. 15, 2016, inside a Ford F250 on Highway 41 north of Oakhurst.
