Admission is $10.Friday, Nov. 9, at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served, followed by a presentation from local historian and columnist Bill Coate, who promises to share engaging stories about the old, rowdy Oakhurst of 100 years ago.

Coate, a popular raconteur, will entertain and enlighten the audience, spinning tales of days when lumbermen, farmers and miners originally left footprints on local soil, and their impact on the first people and the environment here. Organizers at Fresno Flats say Coate will convey history in “a way you will never forget.”
