COARSEGOLD — A single vehicle rollover on Road 415 this afternoon slowed traffic for a little over an hour.
At about 3:20 p.m., reports came in of a Jeep overturned in the roadway near Sesame Street west of Coarsegold.
Callers to 911 said there was a male subject “wandering in the roadway,” and it was unknown if there was anyone else in the vehicle.
Madera County Engine 310 and Cal Fire 4260 responded and reported the vehicle blocking the westbound lane.
According to CHP, the 28-year-old Madera man was westbound in a 2011 Jeep Rubicon when for unknown reasons, he cross the eastbound lane, ran up the steep embankment and overturned. He did not seem to be injured.
The driver appeared disoriented, and was evaluated by Sierra Ambulance personnel and prepared for transport.
One-lane traffic control was put in place for over an hour as the scene was cleared.
No other vehicles were involved, and there were no passengers in the vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
