Rockfall Closes Portion of John Muir Trail

YOSEMITE – Due to a rockfall on Saturday, May 11, the John Muir Trail is currently closed until further notice from the junction with the Mist Trail, just above Vernal Fall footbridge, to Clark Point.

The Mist Trail and Ice Cut section of the John Muir Trail remain open. Due to this closure there is currently no stock access to Little Yosemite Valley from Yosemite Valley.

The John Muir Trail remains open between Clark Point and Nevada Fall and can be accessed from the Mist Trail.
