OAKHURST — Soroptimist International of The Sierras presents their third annual “Dream It – Be It” Conference for high school girls. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Oakhurst Community Center. Registration is from 8:30 – 9 a.m., followed by the conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is free to those attending. The one-day conference will focus on career opportunities, fun activities, and videos to help educate girls on what they can accomplish and in hopes of raising their self-esteem. Each girl will receive a gift bag upon arrival and prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
There will be speakers talking about their achievements, goals, and the obstacles they overcame for their chosen careers. In addition to free continental breakfast and lunch, and there will be fun projects to create.
