One-Way Traffic Control On SR-41

COUNTY — The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with Teichert Construction will commence one-way traffic control on State Route 41 in Madera County, as part of the ongoing passing lanes installation project near the 22 Mile House.

The following one-way traffic control will be in effect starting next week, weather permitting, Caltrans reports.

Beginning Sunday, Apr. 3 at 9 p.m., weekly nighttime closures will occur on SR-41 just north of Road 208 in Madera County. SR-41 will be reduced to one-way traffic control Sunday night through Friday morning each week, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night.

The weekly nighttime traffic control measures are expected to last for approximately five months.

Construction crews will be conducting one-way traffic control at this location and during the work hours listed above with the use of a pilot car and flagging personnel through the work zone. Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel and pay close attention to construction vehicles and personnel at all times.

During construction operations, delays can last for up to 15 minutes. Commuters are encouraged to avoid this area during work hours and use alternate routes if possible. Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during road construction procedures. See map below for alternate route.
