One Arrest Made In Chukchansi Takeover

Eric_Domingo_Flores_Suniga.jpgMADERA COUNTYOne of the 15 individuals wanted in connection with the Oct. 9 armed takeover attempt at the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino has been taken into custody.

Eric Domingo Flores Suniga, 30, of Cutler, Calif., was arrested by Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, and turned over to Madera County Sheriff’s deputies.

Suniga, a Fresno County Private Security employee, was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections on suspicion of five counts of assault with a stun gun. Suniga’s booking information also shows him charged with being in possession of a firearm while committing or attempting to commit a felony. His bail is set at $25,000.

Information on the status and location of the other 14 suspects is not available at this time.
