Oakhurst Man Killed In Last Night’s Shooting Identified

OAKHURST — The man who was shot to death last night in a dispute over a marijuana grow on Road 423 has been identified by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

Timothy Fadgen, 49, was killed when he reportedly got into a confrontation with individuals who were growing pot on his property, and things escalated, according to Cmdr. Bill Ward.

Multiple shots were fired, and Fadgen was mortally wounded. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A bluish-green minivan was reported leaving the scene of the homicide, and it has not been located. Three Hispanic males are being sought in connection to the homicide.

It is not known at this time if the victim had any previous relationship with the suspects.

The incident happened just after 7 p.m. last night in the 52000 block of Road 423.

  1. According to http://california.arrests.org/Arrests/Timothy_Fadgen_32813746/#c5t_form the victim was arrested by Madera County on June 1st, this year for possession of controlled substance. Think he might have been involved?? No way these guys were doing this grow without his knowledge. The area is surrounded by homes.
