Woman arrested last summer for car theft back behind bars for attempted murder –
NORTH FORK – A 32-year old North Fork woman sits behind bars at this hour facing attempted murder charges.
Nirvana Tannehill, is accused of stabbing an Oakhurst woman inside a home in Ahwhanee last night. Tannehill, along with her companion, Jerry Yaugher, 43, of Coarsegold, are being held without bail.
At around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Road 600 where they found the 27-year old female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to an area hospital.
The two suspects were apprehended a short time later.
Tannehill, who was arrested last June for participating in the theft of a truck parked outside a church in Oakhurst, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and probation violation, and is also facing weapons charges.
Jerry Yaugher was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder attempt, as well as weapons violations and probation violation.
