"Nite On The Town" A Glittering Evening Of Talent At YHS

OAKHURST – For an affordable evening of upscale entertainment that also contributes to a great cause, invite some friends and join the Yosemite High School Music Department in celebrating their 5th annual “Nite on the Town,” at the YHS gym on Saturday, Mar. 2, from 7 – 9 p.m.Band director Randy Hyatt and chorus director Christel Biasell are “excited to showcase the combined talents of more than 100 students in an event that is sure to demonstrate the importance of the arts in our schools and our community.”

Yosemite Unified School District Trustee Monica Moulin will again serve as Master of Ceremonies.

For those who love a shopping opportunity during interludes, the event will feature a silent auction. Attendees may want to arrive with a sweet tooth, since desserts, said to be the “finest in the mountain area,” are being prepared by YHS students in the Regional Occupational Program Culinary Class, under the direction of instructor Dena Boorz.

Badger Music Department logo“This elegant event is a chance for music lovers to dress up,” says Hyatt. “Bring friends and family, and enjoy wonderful desserts and performances by the YHS band, choir, percussion, jazz band and student soloists.”

Tickets for “Nite on the Town,” are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Sponsored tables of eight, with special recognition and reserved seating, are available for $250. The evening is a fundraiser for the YHS Music Department.
