MARIPOSA – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Mariposa will celebrate the 4th Annual Night of the Child Gala on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 5 – 10 p.m. at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Building A.
All proceeds from the event benefit Mariposa County Foster Children. With the help of local artists and artisans this year’s event theme will transform the evening into a magical vintage circus, inspired by CASA volunteer Catherine Pichel.
Pichel spoke of the tragedy that children in foster care miss out on the magic of childhood, as they deal with paper work, supervision, numerous placement changes, trauma and fear.
In honor of all children in foster care, and the magic that each unique Court Appointed Special Advocate brings to the life of a foster child, the organization will focus on how childhood should be: joyous, carefree and safe.
Only 200 tickets are available, say organizers. Reserve yours today by calling (209) 742-4206. Tickets are $40 each or $300 for a table of eight. Tickets include dinner, all drinks, and access to all of the evening’s festivities: photo booth, auction, and a chance to win a $50 prize just for walking in the door.

CASA invites the mountain community to join the festivities and help raise enough money to provide each and every foster child in Mariposa County with an Advocate, “so that they may truly experience the magic of childhood.”
