Newlywed Man Succumbs To Injuries

OAKHURST —  Family and friends today are mourning the loss of a loved one, as news is shared of his tragic death in the aftermath of an accident that occured last week.

Fish Camp resident John Miller, 52, suffered grave injuries on Sunday, July 3 in a motorcycle wreck on Highway 41 north of Oakhurst near Sugar Pine. Miller passed away on Wednesday evening, July 6, at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, surrounded by family and friends.

John Miller and Cheryl Fisher Miller were married just one week before the accident.

“Newlyweds John and Cheryl were married for just eight short days when the unthinkable happened,” explains Cheryl’s daughter Chelsea Fisher on a GoFundMe site that has been established in John’s memory.

“We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by all the love and support for John these last few days. We gave him every opportunity to start healing himself and we fought for his life until the very end.”

The family is requesting help with expenses related to end-of-life expenses for John.
