OAKHURST – Urgent Care in Oakhurst has changed their hours of operation, and have implemented a temporary closure on Wednesdays.
Michael Bartell, Director of Service Lines at Community Medical, responded to our request for an update on the new hours at Urgent Care, and questions about the facility being closed at random times over the few months.
“This week our hours of operation were changed from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.,” said Bartell. “We see fewer patients from 7 to 9 p.m., and physician coverage is more problematic during later shifts.
“While we are actively recruiting additional physicians to our medical staff, we’ve had to temporarily close on Wednesdays. Periodic closures have been necessary when our physicians are unable to cover a scheduled shift. However, with additional providers, our plan is to reopen on Wednesdays and continue to provide our urgent care services 7 days a week.”
