COARSEGOLD – Time to round up the Mustangs, as Minarets Youth Football program sign-ups are scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hillside Supermarket.
Hillside is located at 28420 Yosemite Springs Pkwy.
Minarets Youth Football is a mountain area league that serves kids from age 8 through 8th grade and includes students from all school districts in the foothills.
Information and necessary registration paperwork is available for downloading from the website at minaretsyouthfootball.com.
A copy of the child’s birth certificate, along with a current photograph, completed registration packet, a current physical signed by a doctor and payment in full in the amount of $110 are among items required to complete the process.
Students who still need a physical and cannot get in to see their private physician before Monday can call Dr. Stephen Dahlin in Coarsegold at 559 683-6292 for a $20 appointment. Dr. Dahlin’s office has moved since last year and is now located at 35463 highway 41.
In Oakhurst call Dr. James Starnes at 559 642-2225; the cost for a physical with Dr. Starnes is $25 and his office is located at 49346 Road 426, Suite 3.
Conditioning for the 2013 season starts on Monday, July 29, at 6 p.m. for two hours on the field at Minarets.
Organizers will be taking registration during conditioning and request that anyone signing up on Monday arrive early in order to process paperwork. Students are not permitted to participate in any conditioning exercise until all paperwork is completed and approved.
