Miller's Landing & The Forks Ready For Summer

BASS LAKE – There are some truly unmistakable signs of spring in the Central Sierra – wildflowers blooming, the return of an array of migratory birds, and The Forks Resort and Miller’s Landing opening for the season on Bass Lake.

On Friday, Mar. 29, both Miller’s Landing and The Forks Resort restaurants and stores will be opening their doors and heading into what is sure to be another great summer on the lake.Located about 20 minutes from the southern gate to Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake is a popular destination for visitors looking for a great escape to the lake, as well as guests heading to the park. It’s also a favorite for locals in search of a Forks Burger, a banana split at Miller’s Landing, or a day rental from a diverse selection of water craft at the marinas on the lake.

Spacious cabins make both resorts the perfect spot for families looking to spend some quality time together on vacation, share a meal at a nearby restaurant, or have some fun on the lake with a rental from either of the two marinas.

“The two resorts are great examples of what makes Bass Lake such a popular destination,” said Jarrod Lyman with the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.

“Bass Lake has everything anyone needs for their trip at the water’s edge. Lodging, dining, shopping – they’re are all right there, so you never have to interrupt your vacation to go get supplies. You’re always at the lake, surrounded by some truly beautiful scenery.”

Lodging options at Bass Lake run the entire gamut, with camping, cabins at The Forks and Miller’s Landing, numerous vacation rental homes and The Pines Resort. Whether it’s a bar and grill or a more upscale experience, dining options are both versatile and family friendly.

Bass Lake is home to numerous special events through the summer, including the annual Fishing Derby on May 4 and 5, arts and craft fairs, a Farmer’s Market every Wednesday during the summer, boat shows, car shows and the third annual Bass Lake Classic Triathlon scheduled for June 1.
