Master Gardeners Plant And Garden Art Sale

MARIPOSA – The Master Gardeners of Mariposa County will hold their annual Plant and Garden Art Sale on Saturday, May 2, at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, Amigo Picnic Area from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Special features include bonsai-style trees and shrubs planted by Jeff Nicholas, who will be present at the sale to discuss the plants and their care.

There will be a large assortment of clay pots, along with a large selection of vegetables, fruits, herbs, native and drought-tolerant plants, annuals and perennials, succulents, grasses, trees and shrubs, water plants, and house plants.

The garden art table will have painted shovels, garden rocks, and macramé hanging planters for sale. A Master Gardener will be available in the information booth to answer home gardening questions, and Jay Higbee will provide a tool sharpening demonstration.

The Master Gardeners request that customers bring a box to transport purchased plants.

Master Gardeners are volunteer educators for the home gardener. They are trained through the University of California as part of Cooperative Extension services.
