Mariposa Restaurant Hosts Painting Workshop

MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Arts Council is excited to announce a new event, “Brush Bar @ 1850,” on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on 1850 Restaurant’s front patio.

Brush Bar is a painting workshop, with step-by-step instruction and wine. Participants will take home a beautiful finished painting, ready to hang on the wall.

Local painter and college art instructor, Moira Donohoe, will lead the workshop.

Participants are welcome to arrive at 5 p.m. for dinner and/or wine (dinner not included in price of ticket), meet the instructor, meet other participants and ask questions. Instruction begins at 6 p.m.

The cost is $40 for Mariposa County Arts Council Members and $45 for non-members, and includes all materials, instruction, and one full glass of house red or white wine. Participants must register at least one week in advance. Seats are limited.
