Mariposa Network Night And Block Party

MARIPOSA — Locals and visitors including youth are invited to downtown Mariposa for a Network Night and Block Party on Thursday, Apr. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This special community event, in honor of April as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention month, is a partnership between CASA of Mariposa County, Ridgeline Gallery and the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce.

Come enjoy local art, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, face painting, and door prizes, all while mingling with local CASA volunteers. This is an all ages event so bring the whole family for a fun free event. The starting point for this event is Ridgeline Art Gallery and Gift’s new location on main street (3883 Highway 49 South).

“We are really honored to have local resident and business women Rebecca Sullivan of Ridgeline Gallery host a Network Night/Block Party for CASA,” says Izzi Stalder, Youth Services Program Coordinator for CASA of Mariposa County.

“Rebecca has gone to a lot of work creating this event to get the word out about CASA. She wanted to become a volunteer back in January but at that time we didn’t have enough interested volunteers. Now, Rebecca has taken it upon herself to find them, and we are so grateful. ”

The food, desserts and door prizes have been graciously donated for the event from the following businesses: Janz Bakery, Sugar Pine Cafe, Mariposa Pizza Factory and Subway, Coast Hardware, Ace Hardware, Ridgeline Gallery, Mariposa TV, Weigle Jewelry and Goldsmith.

CASA Mariposa: Court Appointed Special Advocates of Mariposa County has been speaking up for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courts and community since 2004.
