OAKHURST – Registration is now open for the local 242nd birthday celebration of the United States Marine Corps, taking place on Friday, Nov. 10 at Evergreen Conference Center Oakhurst (ECCO). Social hour begins at 5 p.m., with a ceremonial cake cutting at 6 p.m., followed by dinner festivities.
Dinner selections are $35 per person, with diners choosing from three entrees: bacon-wrapped beef filets, salmon with dill and butter sauce, or vegetarian grilled portobello mushroom.
Dress for the night is semi-formal or military uniform. The evening’s events take place at ECCO, located four miles north of Oakhurst.
