Man Arrested For Meth In Coarsegold

COARSEGOLD – A Mariposa man remains behind bars facing felony drug charges following his arrest early Thursday morning in Coarsegold.

Christopher Davis Franksen, 36, was taken into custody at around 2:24 a.m., Oct. 31, on Road 417 near Quartz Mountain Road, just west of Indian Lakes Estates, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Miguel Hernandez was patrolling the area when he pulled Franksen over for a traffic violation. Franksen, on probation for a drug relate offense, was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine and two hypodermic needles.

Franksen was transported down the mountain and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale. Bail set at $25,000.
