Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Mar. 11

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 5 to Sunday, Mar. 11, 2018.

Coarsegold vehicle stop, vehicle towed
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 8 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 417 / Delaware which resulted in the vehicle being towed for expired vehicle registration.

Oakhurst fraud
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 9:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of CA-41 regarding a fraud report. An investigation was conducted and found that a crime of fraud and forgery had been committed. A report was written and evidence was obtained.

Ahwahnee report of sexual assault
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 3:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a sexual assault that occurred at the 42000 block of High Point Ct. This incident occurred approximately two years ago. An investigation was conducted and a suspect has been identified. The case forwarded to Madera County Detectives for follow-up.

Coarsegold meth pipes found
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 6:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Ravensbrook Way regarding found property of methamphetamine pipes. A report was written for documentation purposes.

North Fork reports of possible human bones found under tarp
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 5:22 p.m. a deputy responded to the 58000 block of Road 225 for reports of possible human bones found under a tarp. The remains were located and the Detective Bureau was advised. Recommend case be forwarded to the detective division for further investigation.

North Fork burglary
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 7:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 228 regarding a report of burglary. A report was taken of the incident and case was closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold cell phone theft
On Monday, Mar. 5 at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft of a cell phone. There were no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. A report was written for documentation purposes.

North Fork vandalism
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 8:28 p.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a report of a possible burglary. After further investigation it was determined that a burglary did not not occur. A vandalism report was taken of the incident and forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a domestic violence incident. Both parties were arrested and booked for domestic violence. Forward to the Madera DA for charges.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 9 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of Hwy 41 regarding vandalism to a business. A report was taken. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst report of stolen keys
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at noon a deputy responded to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding stolen keys. The involved parties were separated and it was determined that no crime had occurred. Report written for documentation only.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 11:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Oak Lane regarding found property that was located on Ponderosa Way and Dorstan Dive. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 1:41 p.m. a deputy located found property at the 48000 block of Liberty Drive. A report was written and the case is closed.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding found property. A report was written for documentation purposes. Case is closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Mar. 5 at 5:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to phone report of a theft that occurred at the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. Report was taken and case to be suspended pending further investigative leads.

Oakhurst antique firearm turned in
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 9:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a subject who wanted to turn in an antique firearm for destruction. Firearm taken.

Oakhurst vehicle stop, arrest for warrants and marijuana
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Rd 426 / Elliott which resulted in the driver being arrested and cited for outstanding arrest warrants, marijuana violations and vehicle code violations. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

North Fork vandalism
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 1:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Willow Creek regarding vandalism. The victim did not wish to press charges. Report written for documentation.

Coarsegold juvenile in distress
On Tuesday, Mar. 6 at 3 p.m. a deputy responded to a report of a juvenile who had made statements about hurting herself. After an investigation it was decided that the parents were to take the juvenile to the hospital. Report written for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold altercation
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 8:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of an altercation. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Ahwahnee rape
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 10:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a trespassing. Upon speaking with reporting party, she mentioned a sexual assault that occurred to her and wanted to report the incident. A report was taken and forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Ahwahnee missing adult
On Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 11:17 a deputy was dispatched to a trespassing call. During that investigation it was determined the complainant also wanted to report her adult sister voluntarily missing from the same address. The reportedly missing adult was later entered into the NCIC, Missing and Unidentified Persons System. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for review and possible follow up investigation.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, Mar. 8 at 12:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a disturbance. A report was written and case closed.

Coarsegold fight at elementary school
On Thursday, Mar. 8 at 1:20 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding for a fight between two minors at an elementary school. A report was taken for informational purpose only.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Mar. 8 at 3:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding stolen property. A report written and case closed.

Oakhurst report of sexual assault on a child
On Thursday, Mar. 8 at 4:41 p.m. a deputy responded regarding sexual assault on a child. Deputy interviewed the reporting party and completed a report. Case forwarded to detectives for additional follow up with the victim.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, Mar. 9 at 3:04 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Road 425C for an individual lying face down in the roadway. One male adult was arrested for public intoxication and booked at Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to the DA’s office.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Mar. 9 at 7:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding the theft of private property which had occurred on Mar. 8. The suspect was no located and the deputy completed a report.

Oakhurst report of threats, emergency protection order
On Saturday, Mar. 10 at 12:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of threats. A report was written, an emergency order for protection was granted, and the case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Ahwahnee welfare check, domestic violence
On Saturday, Mar. 10 at 4:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a welfare check of an adult female. This incident was determined to be domestic violence. An adult male arrested and booked for domestic violence. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Ahwahnee welfare check, mental health hold
On Saturday, Mar. 10 at 4:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a welfare check of an adult female. The involved female/patient was placed on a mental health hold. The patient was transported by ambulance to a hospital for an evaluation.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Sunday, Mar. 11 at 6:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance call. The subject was taken in on a mental health evaluation and an emergency order for protection was given to the couple at the residence.

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, Mar. 11 at 10:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Long View Lane East regarding theft of items from a vehicle. Report taken for documentation.
