Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Jan. 28

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 22 to Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.

North Fork harassing phone calls
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate ongoing harassing calls. During the investigation, the suspect was identified and contacted. A report was taken for documentation.

O’Neals report of child abuse
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 12:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 200 regarding child abuse. A report was written and the case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Detectives for follow up.

North Fork juvenile danger to self
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 4:38 p.m. deputies responded for a possible suicidal juvenile. Upon arrival it was determined that the juvenile was suicidal and she was placed on a W&I-5150 hold. The juvenile was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital for evaluation.

Coarsegold welfare check, subject deceased
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 5:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 in regards to a welfare check. Upon entering the home the subject was found to be deceased. Madera County Sheriff’s on call service was dispatched. Notifications were made, statements were gathered, property was collected for safe keeping and a report was written.

O’Neals report of threats unfounded
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 6:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 200 in regards to a telephone report regarding possible threats. Through investigation this case was proven unfounded. Report taken for documentation. Case closed.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 9:59 p.m. a deputy arrived at a business within the 40000 block of Junction Drive to conduct a routine patrol check. Deputy contacted three subjects at the business that had no reason to be there. A record check of all three subjects was conducted. One subject was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. She was placed into custody and issued a citation, and released from custody.

Oakhurst lost wallet
On Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 9:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Royal Oaks Dr. and CA-41 in regards to a report of a lost wallet. A report taken for documentation purposes. Close the case.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 9:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a Coroner’s call in the 43000 block of Ranger Circle Drive. An investigation was conducted and it would appear the cause of death to be natural. Report forwarded to Chief Deputy Coroner .

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation in regards to found property. The property was found near Road 600 and Road 619. A report was completed and closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 4:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 in regards to a theft. A report was taken. No suspects or leads, recommended that case be closed.

North Fork theft
On Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7:15 a.m. a deputy took a phone report from the 54000 block of Pinchot Drive. Forward to detectives for review.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 8:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Chapel Hill Drive regarding vandalism to a water shed. No suspects at this time. Refer report closed.

North Fork missing person
On Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a missing adult. A report was taken. The person’s information was entered into the missing person’s system. Forward to detectives.

Oakhurst vehicle towed
On Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 2:24 p.m. a deputy made a traffic stop on Road 600 and CA-49 regarding expired tags. The driver had a suspended drivers license. The vehicle was towed and the driver was cited. Refer to traffic court.

O’Neals family disturbance
On Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 5:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 200 regarding a family disturbance. One of the involved parties was found to have Madera County misdemeanor warrants and was cited on the warrants. Report of disturbance was documented for informational purposes.

Ahwahnee report of domestic violence
On Thursday, Jan. 25 at 11:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding third hand information about domestic violence. The subject involved was contacted and denied being a victim. A report was taken for documentation purposes and some informative materials provided. Close the case.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, Jan. 25 at 12:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding an assault. A report was taken for documentation purposes only due to medical conditions by both parties. Close the case.

Oakhurst report of threat
On Thursday, Jan. 25 at 3:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 in Oakhurst regarding a threat. A report was taken for documentation purposes only. Close the case.

Oakhurst traffic stop, vehicle stored
On Thursday, Jan. 25 at 3:52 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 426 / CA-41 which resulted in the driver being cited on vehicle code violations and the vehicle stored. Forward the case to the DA for charges.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Thursday, Jan. 25 at 6:22 p.m. a deputy responded to the 32000 block of Road 416 for a report of a deceased person. A report was generated and forwarded to the Coroner’s office.

Ahwahnee report of fraud
On Friday, Jan. 26 at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 regarding fraudulent use of an access card. A report taken. Forward to detectives.

Oakhurst arrest warrant
On Friday, Jan. 26 at 12:44 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a disturbance. The subject was located and arrested on three outstanding felony warrants. The subject was in possession of crystal-like substance.  He was transported to MDOC without incident. Refer to the DA’s office for charges filed.

O’Neals report of child abuse
On Friday, Jan. 26 at 3:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched for a reported child abuse. An investigation was conducted. Case is open pending further follow up.

Coarsegold juvenile driving, no license, possession of marijuana
On Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1:12 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the 29000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway. A male juvenile was cited for driving unlicensed, and for being in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. The juvenile was turned over to his father. Case forwarded to the Madera County Probation Department.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary
On Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a vehicle burglary. A report was written, evidence obtained and case closed.

Oakhurst community mailboxes open
On Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to John West Road and Jean East Road regarding a report of  open community mailboxes. Mail was collected for safekeeping to be returned to the Post Office for delivery Monday morning. A report was written.
