Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Feb. 11

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Feb. 5 to Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 2:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Chapel Hill Drive regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and a report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold found property
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 9:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. Report written, property obtained, and case closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. a deputy contacted a female in the 40000 block Junction Drive and placed her under arrest for two active warrants. The female was later booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst drunken harrassment
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 1:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40120 CA-41 in regards to a report of a drunk person belligerently harassing customers. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 2:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of trespassing. During the investigation a male was taken into custody for public intoxication. Case will be forwarded to the DA’s office for review.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 4:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding an injured person refusing medical attention. It was later discovered that vandalism and criminal threats had occurred. Statements were gathered, evidence was collected, an arrest was made. Suspect was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Forward to DA for prosecution.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 10:17 a.m. eputy dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane regarding vandalism. Report taken, evidence obtained and case closed.

Coarsegold wallet found
On Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 10:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding lost wallet. Report taken and case closed.

Bass Lake found property
On Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 12:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding found property. Report taken, property recovered and case closed.

North Fork assault
On Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 4:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Road 274 regarding a family disturbance. Statements were gathered, photos were taken, juvenile was arrested for battery and Elderly abuse and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding the theft of a cell phone. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and a suspect was identified. Charges are submitted to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Coarsegold fraud
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 8:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation for a subject that turned in a fraud packet. A report was written for documentation.

Raymond vehicle stored for expired registration
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop in the area of Harrison / Miller Street which resulted in the vehicle being stored for expired vehicle registration.

Bass Lake assist at court
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 8:31 a.m. a deputy was on routine patrol at the 40000 block of Road 274 when asked to assist at Bass Lake Court regarding a subject who was to be remanded into custody. The subject was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident.

Coarsegold mailbox theft
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone report of theft of a package from a cluster mail box in Yosemite Springs Parkway area. There are no suspect leads and a report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 4:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Rd 417 / CA 41 regarding a female jumping in front of traffic. The female was contacted and protection hold was placed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Victoria Lane and Black Oak River Road for a report of a subject yelling out of a white Ford Mustang. The vehicle was found driving in the area and the driver of the vehicle was later arrested for drug related charges and booked into the Madera County DOC.

North Fork suspicious person
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 5:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 222 for a report of a suspicious person. A report was generated and the case was closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a report of suspicious subjects looking into vehicles. Subjects were contacted and one of the subjects was found to have active warrants out of Mariposa County. Subject was arrested on the warrant and turned over to Mariposa County Sheriff’s. Report was written and case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold assault
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 9:48 p.m. a deputy responded to the 44000 block of Person Loop Lane for a report of an assault. A report was generated but no charges were filed per the request of the involved parties.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 11:23 p.m. while conducting a patrol check at the 46000 block of Lucky Lane, a deputy assisted casino security regarding a person who was possibly breaking into a vehicle in the casino parking lot. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The subject was cited and released at the scene. Casino security also band the subject from the casino.

Coarsegold found property
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 2:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to found property. An investigation was conducted and report written.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 11:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 200 for a report of juvenile female stating that she was suicidal. The female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 12:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Longview Lane East for a report of some valve stems on a vehicle being cut. There were no suspect leads and a report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst sexual assault
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 3:59 p.m. a deputy responded regarding a sexual assault. Child Protective Service were called and a mental health evaluation hold was place on the victim. A report was taken and forwarded to detectives for additional follow-up.

Coarsegold dog bite
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 5:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Ranger Circle Drive regarding a subject who was bitten by a dog. There was no county violation noted. This report is for documentation of a dog bite. Report to be forwarded to Animal Control.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 6:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 to assist EMS on a call of a possible drug overdose. The reporting party advised that a female subject had ingested a handful of prescription drugs and had made suicidal statements. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the Madera Community Hospital. Report was written for documentation and case was closed.

North Fork danger to self
On Friday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 regarding a subject who was a danger to himself. A report was taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10:32 a.m. a deputy responded to Skyline Ridge Road in regards a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was in a verbal argument with his parents and made threats of hurting himself. The juvenile left the residence prior to the arrival of law enforcement and was not located. A report was taken for a missing person. Case forwarded to detectives.

North Fork vandalism
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 3:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 225 and Road 233 regarding a report of vandalism/graffiti. There were no witnesses or substantial leads. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold welfare check
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 4:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Wells Road for a welfare check regarding possible child abuse. Children were not present, but the residence was inspected. Case for documentation only. Copy to be forwarded to CPS.

Oakhurst report of suspected child abuse
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 5:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Goldside Drive regarding a report of suspected child abuse. There was insufficient evidence to substantiate filing charges. I am requesting this report be forwarded to CPS for continued follow up.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 8:52 p.m. a male subject was contacted in the area of Lucky Lane and CA-41 by a Deputy. The male subject was found to have three warrants out of Madera County. The subject was cited and released on scene.

North Fork narcotics
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 8:43 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Road 222 and Weatherly Lane. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 11:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of a verbal disturbance. A case was generated for a warrant arrest and the case was closed.

Oakhurst intoxication and warrant arrest
On Sunday, Feb. 11 at 1:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding an intoxicated subject. The subject was arrested for being drunk and for a misdemeanor warrant. He was transported to MDOC where he was booked. Refer to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Sunday, Feb. 11 at 7:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located soon after speaking to the reporting party.Report was written and forwarded to Madera Juvenile Probation.
