Madera County Sheriff’s Local Crime Log

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Mar. 27 to Sunday, Apr. 3, 2016:

Bass Lake report of trespassing
On Sunday, Mar. 27 at 3:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Shoreline Place in regards to people trespassing. It was determined the property management had made a scheduling mistake. A report was generated for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary
On Monday, Mar. 28 at 7 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of River View Road in regards to a vehicle burglary. No arrest was made and a case report was written.

Oakhurst protective order violation
On Monday, Mar. 28 at 6:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female regarding a report of a domestic court protection order violation. The victim reportedly received several text messages from her ex husband in violation of the court order. This case has been suspended pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold aggravated assault
On Monday, Mar. 28 at 9:21 p.m. deputies responded to a family disturbance on the 43000 block of Wells Road West where a father and son were engaged in a physical fight with one another. Upon arrival, deputies detained the son on warrant violations. Further investigation revealed an aggravated assault had occurred. One person was taken into custody on assault charges. The victim suffered multiple injuries and was seen by paramedics. Evidence was collected and a report was written. Recommended the case be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for prosecution.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 5:25 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 40900 block of Griffin Drive for a suicidal subject. The subject was transported by Sierra Ambulance to Madera Community Hospital for medical treatment and for a mental health evaluation.

North Fork burglary
On Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 5:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an audible alarm on the 52000 block of Road 426. Upon arrival, the deputy found the side door to the residence had been forced open. Evidence was collected and a report was written. Case closed. No suspect information.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 10:51 p.m. a deputy was advised of suspicious subjects seen by a disabled vehicle in the parking lot of the Chukchansi Casino, located at 46536 Lucky Lane in Coarsegold. Upon contact one of the subjects was found to have two outstanding warrants for her arrest.
The arrestee was placed into custody for her warrants, issued a citation,  and released from custody. This case has been closed.

North Fork theft
On Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 10:01 a.m. it was reported that County equipment was stolen.

Coarsegold identity theft
On Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 10:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department, Oakhurst Substation for a report of an Identity theft. The victim filled out an Identity Theft Affidavit. The victim advised there is a possible
suspect. Case forward to Detectives for further investigation.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 5:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 Crooks Mountain Road regarding a report of a possible domestic violence incident. Both involved subjects left the area upon the deputy’s arrival. This incident is for documentation. Close case.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 8:20 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Blackfoot Road for a report of a deceased person. A report was
generated and the case was closed.

Coarsegold sex crime
On Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 8:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Avalon Lane regarding an adult male taking obscene pictures of a female juvenile. The male was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. The case was forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst fraud report
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 11:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a fraud report. A report was taken for documentation. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 1:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Oak Park Way in regards to a theft report. There were no suspect(s) or witnesses. A report was taken and is to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads or evidence.

Oakhurst ID alleged found
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 3:31 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in area of CA-41 and River Falls Road in Oakhurst. The driver was found in possession of another subject’s ID, which he claimed to have found. The ID was collected in an to attempt to have it returned to its owner. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold custody order violation
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 4:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 47700 block of Hopi Avenue for a report of a child custody court order violation. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorneys to pursue the charges against the suspect.

Oakhurst burglary
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 7:19 p.m. a deputy responded to a residential burglary in the 46000 block of River View Drive. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads and lack of physical evidence.

Oakhurst fraud
On Thursday, Mar. 31 at 8:03 p.m. was dispatched to a telephonic call regarding fraud to a business. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. A report was written and the case was closed due to lack of evidentiary leads.

Oakhurst camping ordinance violation
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Community park regarding a homeless male subject setting up camp in the area. The subject was identified as being new to this area and was advised of the illegal camping ordinances. This case is for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 10:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Road 417 in regards to a possible theft. Upon arrival, one of the involved parties is arrested for an outstanding out of county warrant. The theft is unfounded. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 12:11 p.m. is dispatched to the 46000 block of Skyline Ridge Road in regards to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, both subjects are contacted. One subject was cited and released for two outstanding warrants. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 11:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 46000 block of Lookout Mountain Drive in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival, a statement is obtained
from the victim. There are no suspects or witnesses in this investigation. No physical evidence is located on scene. Report to be closed.

Bass Lake lost wallet
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 2:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a reporting party at the Oakhurst Substation regarding a wallet that was lost at Bass Lake. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 2:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Adventist Health Medical Clinic regarding a disturbance between a female and her adult son. It was reported the son/suspect assaulted the female and vandalized her vehicle. The suspect was gone from the scene upon the deputies arrival. Report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold animal shot
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 6:29 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 31000 blk of Sioux Road for a report of an animal that had been shot. A case was generated and further follow-up will be conducted in this case.

North Fork reported child neglect
On Friday, Apr. 1 at 9:01 p.m. a deputy conducted a welfare check on a residence, requested by victim services who had reason to suspect child neglect. The deputy determined no evidence of child neglect was occurring. Case forwarded to Child Protective Services for review.

North Fork burglary
On Saturday, Apr. 2 at 7:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Road 200 in regards to a burglary report. Upon arrival statements are obtained and the scene is processed for physical evidence. This report is to remain open, pending the results of physical evidence analysis.

Coarsegold report of theft
On Saturday, Apr. 2 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 47000 Wiwoc Avenue regarding theft of a solar yard light. The yard light was later located and was not damaged. The reporting party requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold cold case burglary
On Saturday, Apr. 2 at 2:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Yosemite Springs Way regarding a report of a cold residential burglary. The incident was reported by Yosemite Lakes Park Security. The residence was determined to be unoccupied. Attempts were made to contact the possible victim with no results at this time. Case is to be closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Saturday, Apr. 2 at 7:54 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 39000 block of Giant Oak Road in Oakhurst with regards to a female telling her therapist over the phone that she took an excessive amount of pills. The female was found to be a danger to herself and was transported by EMS for a mental health evaluation.

North Fork danger to self
On Saturday, Apr. 2 at 8:27 p.m. a deputy responded to the 57000 block of Road 225 for a report of a suicidal subject. After speaking to the subject, she was sent down to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst trespassing
Sunday, Apr. 3 at 6:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 43000 block of Highway 41 for a report of a trespassing. After the call the deputy noticed the left front inner fender wheel lining to the Madera County Sheriff marked patrol vehicle popped off. The Deputy fixed the inner fender wheel lining.
