Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through May 14

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 8 to Sunday, May 14, 2017:

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Monday, May 8, a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst citation for drug paraphernalia
On Monday, May 8 at 8:35 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and CA-49 when a male subject was stopped for a vehicle code violation while riding his bicycle. The male subject was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested, cited and released on scene.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Monday, May 8 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to CA-41 and Road 406 regarding a Coroner’s report. A report was taken and the case forwarded to the Madera Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner for review.

North Fork burglary
On Monday, May 8 4:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 33000 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Monday, May 8 10:23 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the 41000 block of CA-41. He contacted a male subject sitting in a vehicle behind a closed business. The male subject was found to have two misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. He was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

O’Neals public intoxication
On Monday, May 8 11:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 200 and CA-41 for a report of a male laying on the side of the road. The deputy responded and contacted the person, noting that the individual was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The subject was arrested and booked into Madera County Jail.

Bass Lake stolen dirt bike recovered
On Tuesday, May 9 at 8:32 a.m. a deputy was contacted by a citizen who reported that he located a dirt bike in a secluded area. Deputies respond to the area and located the dirt bike, which had previously been reported stolen. The registered owner was contacted and later responded to the Oakhurst substation to take custody of the dirt bike.

Oakhurst suspected human cremains
On Tuesday, May 9 at 9 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 40000 Block of CA-41 in regards to suspected cremated human remains reported abandoned. Remains were seized and turned over to Chief Deputy Coroner and a case report was written.

Bass Lake theft
On Tuesday, May 9 at 9:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of a theft that occurred in the 37000 block of Marina View Drive. A report was taken for documentation. At the time, there were no suspect(s), witnesses or investigative leads. Report to be suspended.

Coarsegold warrant arrest 
On Tuesday, May 9 at 7:02 p.m. a deputy self-initiated a vehicle stop on the 46000 block of Road 417. A male passenger was arrested for a $1,000,000 misdemeanor warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Case forwarded to the Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

Coarsegold found license plate
On Wednesday, May 10 at 5:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 30000 Stetson Drive regarding a lost license plate to a trailer. The reporting party requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, May 10 at 5:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Presidio Way regarding a Coroner’s report. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold vandalism to a vehicle
On Wednesday, May 10 at 7:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 47000 Klamath Avenue regarding vandalism to a vehicle. A window was broken, but still intact and nothing was stolen from the vehicle. The reporting party requested documentation. The report was suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst vandalism to a vehicle
On Wednesday, May 10 at 8:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive regarding a vandalism to a vehicle. Due to the lack of investigative leads and evidence, the case was closed.

Bass Lake vandalism to boat
On Wednesday, May 10 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Robin regarding a fuel line that was cut on a boat parked in the driveway at the residence. A report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, May 10 at 10:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Winding Way regarding a burglary. There are no investigative leads, case is closed.

Coarsegold sexual battery
On Wednesday, May 10 at 10:11 a.m. a deputy responded to the 800 block of “O” Street, in the city of Firebaugh, regarding a sexual battery that occurred approximately one year ago in the town of Coarsegold. A crime report was generated.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Thursday, May 11 at 9:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of and Road 221 regarding a Coroner’s report. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Thursday, May 11 at 12:54 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a domestic violence incident. Upon investigation, the male was placed under arrest for domestic violence. The female was transported to the hospital by Sierra Ambulance. A report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Thursday, May 11 at 2:07 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Thursday, May 11 at 6:36 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 35000 block of CA-41 for a possible intoxicated subject. Upon arrival the subject was contacted and it was determined that he had a felony no-bail parole warrant. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant and he was transported to Madera Department of Corrections. A report was written and closed.

Coarsegold arrest of man hiding in bathroom
On Friday, May 12 at 10:31 a.m., plain clothes detectives were conducting a follow-up investigation at a residence in the 43000 block of Seminole Court and located a wanted subject hiding in a bathroom. The subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail. Case is to be closed, cleared by arrest.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Saturday, May 13 at approximately 6:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a Coroner’s call on the 44000 block of Spring Hill Road. A report was written and forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner for follow-up.

Oakhurst aggravated assault, large marijuana cultivation
On Saturday, May 13 at 10:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 600 regarding an assault involving a large marijuana cultivation operation. A report was written and case forwarded.

North Fork domestic dispute
On Saturday, May 13 at 8:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Road 222, in regards to a report of domestic violence. The deputy arrived and conducted an investigation and concluded domestic violence had not occurred. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads or evidence.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Sunday, May 14 at approximately 10:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 Block of River Park Road in regards to a Coroner’s call. A report was written and forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner for follow-up.

Bass Lake warrant arrests
On Sunday, May 14 at 11:36 p.m. a deputy received information on the whereabouts of a female subject wanted for felony warrants out of Tuolumne County. She was located in the 53000 block of Road 432. She was arrested and transported to Madera County Department of Corrections. While at this same location deputies contacted another female subject that had a misdemeanor warrant out of Mariposa County. She was transported to the Madera and Mariposa County line where she was turned over to Mariposa County Sheriff’s.
