Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Mar. 26

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 20 to Sunday, Mar. 26, 2017:

Coarsegold disturbance
On Monday, Mar. 20 at 2:42 a.m. a deputy was flagged down at the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a disturbance. The deputy made contact with the female causing the disturbance and attempted to detain her. The female was combative and attempted to strike the deputy, who restrained the female and sustained minor injures to his right hand. The deputy transported the female where she was booked for PC 69 and PC 647(f). Charges forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office.

North Fork accident
On Monday, Mar. 20 at 12:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to assist in an investigation at a residence located within the 55000 block of Oak Leaf Way. While attempting to drive to the scene of the assault the patrol vehicle became stuck in a mud hole in the driveway. It was later determined the vehicle sustained damage to the driver’s side front fender as a result. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Administration Division for review.

Oakhurst soliciting minors to participate in pornography
On Monday, Mar. 20 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy conducted an investigation in regards to a confidential case involving an unknown person soliciting minors to participate in pornographic videos for hire. The deputy was told that another victim received Instagram messages from an unknown person that was trying to hire the victim to participate in pornographic videos. The deputy contacted the second juvenile victim  at approximately 8:40 a.m. for questioning. A report was taken and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Monday, Mar. 20 at 11:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to an intoxicated subject. During the investigation, an adult male suspect was arrested and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case report was written and filed with the District Attorney’s Office for Prosecution

Oakhurst mail theft
On Monday, Mar. 20 at 7:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female regarding a theft and vandalism from a mailbox cluster located on Road 422 near China Creek Road. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance and warrant citation
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 6:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a domestic disturbance. No crime was committed. During the investigation, it was discovered that the possible suspect had one active warrant for his arrest. A citation was issued and the male was released from custody.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 6:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft. Upon arrival the victim was contacted. There were no suspect(s), witnesses or investigative leads in this case. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 9:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA 41 regarding located narcotics. The narcotics were seized to be destroyed. Close the case.

Bass Lake eviction and arrest
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 9:50 a.m. deputies served an eviction in the 36000 block of Road 222 which resulted in a subject being arrested on outstanding arrest warrants out of Mariposa County. A report was taken and the arrestee was turned over to Mariposa Sheriffs Office. Close the case.

Coarsegold report of possible child abuse
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 9:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Hopi Avenue regarding possible child abuse. No crime was committed and the case was closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 11:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a report of someone using the victim’s personal information to take out a loan. Report taken and forwarded to detectives for follow up.

North Fork eviction and arrest
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 11:53 a.m. deputies served an eviction in the 57000 block of Road 225. The evicted subjected returned to the property after the lawful eviction and was arrested. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 11:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of road 426 concerning the theft of two security cameras. Report taken.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at approximately 1 p.m. the school behavior specialist from the school located at the 45000 Block of Road 415 in reported a student was making suicidal comments. The School Resource Deputy responded to the school and determined the student needed further evaluation and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding theft of items from the back of the business. The victim requested a report for documentation. Due to the lack of investigative leads, witnesses, and suspect(s) the case is closed.

Oakhurst juveniles’ inappropriate photos
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 2:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the local middle school located in the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road regarding some inappropriate photographs being sent between juveniles. A report was taken for documentation purposes only. Close the case.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 4:16 p.m. deputies responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

North Fork welfare check on juvenile
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 5:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 224 regarding a welfare check for a juvenile. The juvenile checked satisfactorily and a report was written for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 9:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 Lucky lane regarding vandalism to a vehicle. The suspect was caught but the victim did not want to press charges. Case closed .

Oakhurst theft 
On Wednesday, Mar. 22 at 9 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding theft of items from the back of the business. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork suspicious vehicle
On Wednesday, Mar. 22 at 9:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 228 in regards to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle had expired registration and was removed pursuant to CVC 22651(o).

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Mar. 22 at 3:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block for Road 222 regarding a vehicle burglary. Due to the lack of investigative leads, suspect(s), and witnesses, the case is closed.

Coarsegold fraud
On Wednesday, Mar. 22 at 3:58 p.m. a deputy was contacted in the Oakhurst substation by a subject who wanted to turn in an ID Theft Packet. The victim advised several accounts were open in his name, which he did not authorize. He requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst found property
On Thursday, Mar. 23 at 10:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a found wallet. The owner of the wallet was later identified and the wallet was returned to the owner. A report was taken for documentation purposes. Case closed.

North Fork trespassing
On Thursday, Mar. 23 at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 36000 block of Road 222 regarding a trespass. A report was taken. Forward to the DA’s Office for charges.

North Fork weapons charge
On Thursday, Mar. 23 at 12:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 33000 Road 233 regarding shots fired. A stolen gun was recovered and a suspect arrested and booked. Forward the case to the Madera County DA’S office charges.

Oakhurst school vandalism by juvenile
On Friday, Mar. 24 at 9:47 a.m. a school administrator, at the school located at the 50000 Block of Road 427, reported a vandalism which just occurred in the boys’ restroom. The School Resource Deputy started an investigation and the student responsible for the damage was identified. The student was arrested and taken to Madera County Juvenile Hall where he was booked on vandalism charges. The report will be forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation.

Oakhurst suicide
On Saturday, Mar. 25 at 6:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 regarding a mental health evaluation. While on scene the subject later arrived in a vehicle and subsequently committed suicide. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner for final disposition.
