Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Mar. 12

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 6 to Sunday, Mar. 12, 2017:

Coarsegold report of identity theft
On Monday, Mar. 6 at 12:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service at the Oakhurst substation regarding identity theft. Report taken and case closed.

Oakhurst report of child abuse
On Monday, Mar. 6 at 12:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Indian Spring Road in Oakhurst regarding a report of child abuse. Report taken for informational purposes, evidence obtained, Madera County Child Protective services contacted, and case closed.

North Fork coroner’s report
On Monday, Mar. 6 at 1:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 55000 Block of Road 200 for a coroner’s case. This death appears to be from natural causes. A report was written and forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and release
On Monday, Mar. 6 at 8:04 p.m. a deputy contacted a male subject in the 49000 block of Civic Circle Drive. The male subject was arrested, cited and released on scene for misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. Case closed.

Ahwahnee child protective services call
On Tuesday, Mar. 7 at 1:31 p.m. deputies were called to assist Child Protective Services on the 40000 block of Griffin Drive. Deputies determined there was insufficient cause to remove children from the home, but the parent voluntarily turned children over to a family member.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Wednesday, Mar. 8 at 1:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29000 block of Glacier Drive regarding a report of a missing/runaway juvenile. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Sheriff’s Office Searches For Missing Teen

North Fork vandalism
On Thursday, Mar. 9 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 30000 Carmen Ranch Road regarding vandalism to a gate. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst weapons violation with crossbow
On Thursday, Mar. 9 at 11:22 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 50000 block of Cedar Ridge Circle regarding a weapons violations. An investigation was conducted which determined a male pointed a crossbow at a female and threatened to kill her. A arrest was made and case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold person in distress
On Thursday, Mar. 9 at 4:25 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 34000 block of Jennifer Lane for a possible need for a mental health evaluation hold, for a male in violation of a restraining order. An investigation was conducted and determined the male fled in a vehicle, no violation occurred. An alert was announced on the male for possible mental conditions requiring a mental health evaluation while driving his vehicle.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Thursday, Mar. 9 at 6:06 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 41000 block of Highway 49 for a family disturbance. All parties were contacted and a report was generated for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Thursday, Mar. 9 at 3:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Indian Lakes Estates in regards to found property that belonged to a missing juvenile female. The deputy responded to the location and located the items. The case was turned over to detectives.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Mar. 10 at 9:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding theft of a buffet from outside the business. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Friday, Mar. 10 at 11:18 a.m. a deputy contacted a male subject with an outstanding arrest warrant in the area of Longhollow and Yosemite Springs Parkway. The subject was cited on an outstanding arrest warrant. Close the case.

Oakhurst reckless driving
On Saturday, Mar. 11 at 9:15 p.m. a deputy arrested a male adult in the 40000 block of Junction Drive for reckless driving. The subject was cited and released. A report was written and the case forwarded to the DA’s office.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday, Mar. 11 at 8:58 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated subject who was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival deputies located the subject who was passed out in a chair. The subject had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and slurred speech. It was determined the subject would not be able to care for himself if he was left alone due to his intoxicated state. The subject was unable to locate a ride so he was taken to the Madera County Jail on charges of
public intoxication.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Sunday, Mar. 12 at 8:34 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 as CHP were requesting help regarding a subject possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold.
