Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through June 4

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 29 to Sunday, June 4, 2017:

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Monday, May 29 at 6:24 a.m. a deputy responded to a disturbance on Road 222 in the area of Dorstan Drive. The reporting party advised that a male subject was throwing a water bottle into traffic. The deputy contacted an intoxicated male suspect, who was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

Raymond family disturbance and public intoxication
On Monday, May 29 at 8:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a family disturbance in the 33000 block of Road 613. Upon arrival, one intoxicated adult male was placed under arrest for public intoxication. Due to the nature of the incident, no charges are being requested in this matter. The subject was later released from custody.

Oakhurst lost wallet
On Monday, May 29 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a telephonic report regarding a lost wallet. The reporting party advised he lost his wallet somewhere in the Oakhurst area. This case to be closed.

Coarsegold weapons report
On Monday, May 29 at 11:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a weapons violation call in the 29000 block of Longview Lane East. The female reporting party called the sheriff’s office to report that her ex-husband displayed a firearm and then left the residence. The male subject was detained, questioned and released. The reporting party became uncooperative and refused to pursue charges. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence restraining order violation
On Monday, May 29 at 10:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of a violation of a domestic temporary restraining order. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst domestic dispute and intoxication
On Monday, May 29 at 9:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of West Oak Lane in regards to a domestic dispute. The deputy responded and contacted the person reported., and noted the person was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Subject was arrested and booked into Madera County Jail.

Oakhurst burglary to business
On Tuesday, May 30 at 2:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 for suspicious activity. Upon arrival the deputy noticed that a burglary had just occurred at a nearby business also located the 49000 block of road 426. The deputy conducted an investigation and concluded nothing was taken. The victim was unable to access the security footage and will call if any further information. Case closed
due to lack of investigative leads or evidence.

North Fork missing person located with injuries
On Tuesday, May 30 at 10:24 a.m. a deputy responded to the area of Road 222 and Cedar Lane regarding a missing person. During the investigation the missing subject was located with injures and transported to the hospital via ambulance and Life Flight. Case to be closed

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, May 30 at 3:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a theft report in the 40000 block of CA-49. Upon arrival, the victim and two possible suspects were contacted. Statements were obtained. At this time, there is no evidence to prove or disprove the guilt of the suspects. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake kayaker in dangerous water
On Tuesday, May 30 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for a female on a rock in the area of the Falls at Bass Lake. The female had been in a kayak and was thrown into the water at the base of the falls after getting too close. She was out of the danger area of the falls and on a rock ledge on the right side of the falls.

North Fork warrant citation
On Tuesday, May 30 at 6:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 21000 block of road 222 in regards to a welfare check. Upon arrival the deputy discovered that the subject had a misdemeanor warrant for $7,500. The subject was cited and released. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, May 30 at 6:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Old Barn Way regarding a possible residential burglary. Upon arrival it was determined there was no theft and the incident proved to be a vandalism. This case is open pending further investigation.

North Fork mail vandalism and theft
On Tuesday, May 30 at 6:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Church Ranch Road, in regards to a cluster box that has been broken into. Multiple members of the community called to report that items were taken from the cluster box. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads or evidence.

Coarsegold dispute over dog
On Tuesday, May 30 at 9:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 46000 block of Chukchansi Road regarding a report of a female trespassing on the property. During the investigation it was determined no trespassing occurred. The civil dispute between the complainant and the female subject was over the ownership of a dog. A warrant check of the female showed she had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. The female was placed into custody and released with a citation. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, May 30 at 11:52 p.m. a deputy was flagged down while on patrol at a gas station located within the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a theft that just occurred. Per the victim his cell phone, cell phone case/wallet and California driver’s license were taken during the theft. Both suspects, one African American female juvenile and a white male juvenile were identified by the victim. Victim later located his property hidden behind a bag of potato chips near the display rack where he last left his cell phone. The victim did not wish to seek prosecution against either juvenile. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Wednesday, May 31 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a report of a Facebook account being hacked into. A report was taken for documentation.

North Fork report of burglary to residence
On Wednesday, May 31 at 12:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to report of a residential burglary and vehicle theft in the 55000 block of Road 225. Upon arrival, statements were obtained and it was determined that extended family members had been at the residence last week. A report is taken for documentation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, May 31 at 2:21 p.m. deputies took a theft report that occurred in the area of the 38000 block of Sierra Lakes Dr. A report was generated and later closed until further investigative leads arise.

Coarsegold threats made over dog interaction
On Wednesday, May 31 at 3:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of threats in the 32000 block of Sunset Ridge Drive East. Upon arrival, it was determined that a verbal altercation took place after one party’s dogs chased the other party’s family member. All involved parties were contacted and a report is taken for documentation only.

North Fork public intoxication and motor vehicle damage
On Wednesday, May 31 at 9:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 225 and Road 222 regarding a female subject damaging a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the female subject was located and it was determined she was heavily intoxicated. The vehicle owner did not wish to press charges. The female subject was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Thursday, June 1 at 4:41 p.m. a deputy contacted a male subject in the area of Road 200 and Hartley Road who had an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject was arrested. Close the case.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, June 1 at 8:06 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of C-41 regarding an intoxicated female who was stumbling around. Upon arrival it was determined the female is a known to be habitually intoxicated. The female was taken into custody and transported to Madera DOC.

Bass Lake warrant arrest
On Friday, June 2 at 8:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 4000 block of Road 331 regarding a subject with a warrant. The subject was found and was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

North Fork weapons violation and vehicle put in storage
On Friday, June 2 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 200 and Wild Plum Lane which resulted in the driver being arrested for a weapons violations and the vehicle was stored. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Coarsegold motor vehicle stop and impound
On Friday, June 2 at 12:49 p.m. a deputy initiated a traffic enforcement stop on CA-41 and Road 417, which resulted in the driver being cited for having expired vehicle registration and the vehicle being impounded. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst trees stolen
On Friday, June 2 at 4:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Golden Oak Drive regarding a burglary to the business. The reporting party advised that someone had cut the back fence and stolen 10 maple trees. He requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, June 2 at 5:47 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 for the report of a subject who was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation. After contacting the subject, he was put on a hold for evaluation and sent to an acute psychiatric facility.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Saturday, June 3 at 4:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Long Hollow Drive and Glacier Drive regarding a subject who was sleeping in the roadway. The subject was not intoxicated and was deemed a danger to himself. He was placed under a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the hospital and later released. Parole placed a hold on him and he was transported to the department of corrections where he was booked.

Ahwahnee theft
On Saturday, June 3 at 5:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Road 619 regarding a possible theft of a purse and cell phone. There were no investigative leads or suspect(s). A report was written for documentation purposes.

Ahwahnee nude male running around in public
On Saturday, June 3 at 4:15 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 47000 block of Miami Highlands Drive for a nude male subject running around in the area. The male subject was contacted and placed under arrest for public intoxication. A report was written and closed.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Saturday, June 3 at 9:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a female subject making suicidal comments. An investigation issued and the female subject was admitted to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case closed.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, June 4 at 12:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated subject. Upon arrival it was determined the subject was intoxicated and unable to care for themself. The subject was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for public intoxication. Case closed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, June 4 at 11:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report regarding a residential burglary that occurred approximately two months prior in the 48000 block of Road 620. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted a report was taken. There are currently no investigative leads/ evidence. Several items were stolen from the residence.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Friday, June 4 at 8:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Cherokee Road regarding a subject making suicidal comments. Upon arrival an investigation issued and a subject was admitted to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case closed.

Oakhurst stolen vehicle
On Friday, June 4 at 8:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding a report of a vehicle theft taken from in front of the victim’s residence. The stolen vehicle was later entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
