Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Jan. 29

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017:

Oakhurst danger to self
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 12:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 51000 block of Road 423, regarding a possibly suicidal female adult. During the investigation it was determined the female was a danger to herself and placed on a mental health hold. She was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 2:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to conduct a telephonic report regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim was contacted and a statement was obtained. At this time there are no investigative leads, evidence or suspect(s). Case to be suspended. See narrative for details.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 5:51 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane regarding a family disturbance. An adult female was arrested and booked on several misdemeanor warrants. One family member requested to pursue charges for battery. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for review of charges.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 5:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a coroner’s report. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner for final disposition.

Coarsegold assault
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 7:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 49000 block of Cavin Lane regarding a report of an assault. This case has been closed due to insufficient evidence.

Coarsegold dispute
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 7:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Seminole Avenue to mediate a civil dispute. Investigation at the scene revealed a possible violation of a court order. Report taken and submitted to the District Attorney for review.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to assist EMS with an overdose patient in the 41000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive. A mental health evaluation hold was placed and the patient was transported to the hospital.

North Fork burglary
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 11:27 a.m. a deputy responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 30000 block of Willow Creek Drive. Report taken.

Coarsegold fraud
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 12:47 p.m. a deputy responded to a report of a possible check fraud in the 30000 block of Douglas Trail. A report was taken and forwarded on to detectives for any further investigations.

Coarsegold sexual offense on a minor
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 11:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of CA-41 in regards to sexual offense on a minor. A report was generated and forwarded to detective’s unit.

Oakhurst domestic felony
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 12:07 p.m. a deputy responded to a domestic disturbance in the 40000 block of CA-41. A female was arrested for domestic felony charges and booked at the Department of Corrections. During the arrest of the male for misdemeanor domestic charges, he claimed a medical issue and was transported to a hospital in Fresno. Child Protective Services responded and removed an infant child from the residence. Both subjects are on felony probation. A report was forwarded to CPS and probation. Charges requested.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 2;25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane in regards to a coroner’s case with EMS on scene. A report was taken and decedent removed. Forward the case to the coroner’s division.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 8:29 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 49000 block of Penny Lane regarding a welfare check of a male requested by family members. Upon arrival, the male was deceased in his residence. No foul play was determined in the cause of his death.

Coarsegold restraining order violation
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 1:12 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 43000 block of Seminole Court regarding violation of a restraining order. An investigation was completed and report was written and sent to the DA’s office for review.

Coarsegold runaway juvenile
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 4:40 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 44000 block of Foxtail Road regarding a parent wanting to report that his 16-year-old son run away. The juvenile entered into the missing persons system and a report was taken.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7:59 p.m. deputies responded to the 38000 block of Terri Lane for a report of domestic violence. After an investigation was completed, a suspect was identified and arrested. He was taken to the Department of Corrections for booking.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 8:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Road 200 regarding a disturbance. A subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6:57 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject in the area of CA-41 and Hwy 49 which resulted in the subject being cited on an outstanding arrest warrant. The case was cleared by the arrest.

Oakhurst juvenile danger to self
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 9:47 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 50000 block of School Road for a missing juvenile call from a previous case. The juvenile was located and placed on a mental health evaluation hold due to his statements and actions. The case was forwarded to mental health.

North Fork fraud
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 10:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Manzanita Drive regarding a fraud call. The victim advised that he received a phone call from Comcast regarding an account that he did not open. He requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 11:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and River Falls Lane in regards to a subject in the roadway. A protective placement hold was placed on the subject who was then transported to a mental health facility.

North Fork suspicious vehicle
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 3:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Wild Rose Lane. While en route to the location the deputy observed the vehicle in question unoccupied and blocking the main roadway. The vehicle was towed due to being a hazard and blocking the flow of traffic. Case closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 3:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 46000 Chukchansi Road regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim stated several items were taken and the suspect(s) gained access to the vehicle by way of her drivers side window, which was defective. She requested a report for documentation.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 3:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a domestic violence incident that occurred months prior. The victim wanted a report taken for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7:12 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for an intoxicated subject harassing customers inside of a business. A male subject was arrested and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8:23 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive for a possibly suicidal subject. Deputies conducted an investigation and determined there was not probable cause to detain the individual for a mental health evaluation hold. A report was taken documenting the incident.

Coarsegold stolen property
On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 11:37 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Road 416 and CA-41. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of personal identifying information of more than 10 other people. The driver was arrested and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office. Additional investigation will be conducted.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Friday, Jan. 27 at 2:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Pony Express and Forest Glen Road in regards to suspicious persons. A subject was contacted with an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject was arrested and cited out. Close the case.

Oakhurst found narcotics
On Friday, Jan. 27 at 2:34 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of Highway 49 for found property. The property was booked into Oakhurst substation. A report was written and forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Jan. 27 at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Sunset Ridge Road West in regards to a telephonic report of theft. A report was taken.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2:44 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of Deer Trail Lane regarding a female who had a knife and gun and was trying to harm herself. Upon arrival it was determined her husband had taken the weapons from her and secured them away from the female’s area. After further questioning it was determined the female met the requirements for a mental health evaluation and was transported to the hospital.

Coarsegold dog barking
On Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7:08 p.m. a deputy responded to a residence located within the 50000 block of Barcus Circle regarding a report of a dog barking complaint. During the course of the investigation it was determined the victims had made 13 complaints to the Madera County Animal Control Department, and about one dozen complaints to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department. The issue had not yet been resolved. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Saturday, Jan. 28 at 9:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 32000 block of Weatherley Lane, regarding a male who wanted to turn himself in for an outstanding felony warrant, issued from the Stanislaus Superior Court. While en route to the residence the deputy received an update that the male would be waiting at the Gas ‘n Stuff Store on Road 222, in North Fork. The male was contacted, placed into custody without incident and transported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, Jan. 29 at 11:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane, regarding a report of assault. Upon arrival the male and female involved in the altercation had left the scene in their vehicle. A check of the surveillance recording showed the male striking the female twice in the head as he led her out of the casino. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
