Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Jan. 1

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 to Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017:

Coarsegold assault
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 2:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Road regarding an assault. During the investigation a suspect was identified and a warrant was placed for his arrest. This case will be forwarded to the DA’s office for filing.

North Fork school windows shot out
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 10:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a report of vandalism. The windows at the local school were damaged and had been shot out with a shotgun. A report was taken, evidence obtained and case forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Westview Drive regarding a female subject who wanted to stab herself with a
knife. Report taken and subject placed on a hold.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 11:50 a.m. deputies were contacted regarding a family disturbance in the 46000 block of Ming Circle. Upon arrival, one involved party was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The subject was issued a citation for the outstanding warrant and released from custody.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 2:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service regarding a report of mail theft. The theft of mail occurred at the 51000 block of Rusty Lane. Case written and case closed.

Coarsegold missing person report
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 2:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Crystal Springs Way in regards to a possible missing persons report. During the investigation, telephone contact was made with the alleged missing female. It was determined that the female is not missing and is living with her boyfriend.

North Fork burglary
On Monday, Dec. 26 at 7:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence that had no address, regarding a report of a burglary. The residence was located on Lark Lane, off Road 225. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Bass Lake boulder theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 2:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call regarding a citizen reporting theft of large granite rocks from the 33000 block of Road 222 in Bass
Lake. An investigation was conducted and the suspects in question were caught with the evidence in their vehicle. Charges of theft are being requested by the utility company from where the rocks were taken from.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 3:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 in regards to a shoplifting. A report was taken. Follow up was conducted and the suspect located. The suspect paid for the stolen item.

Oakhurst driving violations
On Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 4:13 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of CA-41 and Golden Oak Loop which resulted in the driver being cited for driving on a suspended drivers license and expired vehicle registration. The suspect vehicle was impounded. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 4:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Spring Hill Road in regards to a report of possible domestic violence. Due to the victim being currently admitted at Clovis Community Hospital, this incident was turned over to Clovis P.D. for courtesy report. Case to remain open pending Clovis P.D.’s investigation.

Coarsegold report of threats at casino
On Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 5:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of possible criminal threats the casino received by letter. This incident didn’t meet the elements of the police code for criminal threats. The letter was booked into property as evidence. This incident is for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold shots fired
A deputy was dispatched to the area of Corral and Stetson Drive in regards to shots fired. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped. No evidence located that tied the suspect to the shots fired. The suspect was turned over to CHP.

Bass Lake burglary
On Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 2:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Road 274 and Forest Service Road 7S82 regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim advised that her
vehicle was locked and several items were stolen. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold narcotics and DUI
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 12:56 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on CA-41 near Road 417. The male driver of the vehicle was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested by the CHP for DUI and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Evidence was collected, a report written, and charges are to be filed with the DA’s office.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 7:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 46000 Road 417 regarding vandalism to a vehicle. The victim claimed another subject threw the rock at
his vehicle. The suspect claimed she never was at the property. Refer report to the DA’s office for possible charges filed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 9:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Forest Ridge Drive regarding items taken from an unlocked vehicle. The victim requested a report
for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 12:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a local business in the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a female who had shoplifted. A report was taken. The suspect was not located. The reporting party did not want charges filed. Close the case.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. a deputy was contacted by a female subject in the area of Road 417 and Chukchansi Road who had an outstanding arrest warrant. The female was cited into court. Close the case.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 2:29 p.m. a deputy checked on a female subject who was walking along the highway of CA-41 at Road 417. The female appeared to be wobbly on her feet and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The deputy stopped and checked on the welfare of the female. She had an odor of alcohol emitting from her person and red watery eyes. She had two outstanding arrest warrants out of Ventura County. She was arrested and booked on the warrants.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 3:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding an alarm call at the block of 29000 CA-41. After further investigation someone had turned the
breaker off and used a key from an unlocked security box to access the property and the front door. Nothing appeared to have been taken except the gate padlock. The home owner was out of town. Subjects were contacted in the area of CA-41. Unknown if they were directly involved. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 4:30 p.m. a deputy stopped to check on pedestrians on CA-41 at Yosemite Springs Parkway. One female subject had an out of county active arrest warrant. The subject was cited. Close the case.

Oakhurst search and rescue
On Thursday, Dec. 29 at 9:23 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a search and rescue of a male and female whose vehicle was stuck on Road 632 near Fresno Dome. As search and rescue efforts were taking place, deputies responded to the location and located the vehicle and the occupants. Both parties checked out okay and were transported back to Oakhurst.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 8:16 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Civic Circle Drive at the cross of CA-41, resulting in the driver being cited for traffic violations, narcotics and outstanding arrest warrants. The vehicle was impounded. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Coarsegold gun stolen
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 10:55 a.m. a deputy responded to the 29000 block of Kings Canyon Court South in regards to a gun being stolen out of a vehicle. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. The stolen gun was entered into the system as stolen. Case closed pending further evidence or identification of suspects.

Oakhurst harassment
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 2:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding harassment. A report was taken and an emergency protection order issues. The
victim did not want to pursue charges. Close the case.

Bass Lake vehicle burglary
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Smoke Tree Trail regarding theft of a jacket from a vehicle at Bass Lake. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 10:55 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of Road 427 and Indian Springs Rd for a report of suspicious subjects in the area. On the 39000 Block of road 428, a vehicle was located partially in the road and in a drive way. Upon attempting to contact the home owner, a subject was located on the property and was found to have outstanding warrants. He was arrested and taken to the Department of Corrections for booking.

Ahwahnee public health call
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 2:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 42000 block of CA-49 in regards to a public health call. A report was taken for documentation and the adult female involved was turned over to emergency medical personnel.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Saturday, Dec. 31 at 4:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Deer Trail Lane regarding a vehicle vandalism that had occurred earlier at the Yosemite Lakes Park clubhouse.

Coarsegold property found
On Saturday, Dec. 31 at 5:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. Report taken and case closed.

Coarsegold arrest at casino
On Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7:55 p.m. a deputy was flagged down by Chukchansi Casino security regarding a banned individual trespassing on the property. Subject was contacted and subsequently arrested. Subject was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold found property
On Sunday, Jan. 1 at 4:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of found property. The item found was a backpack that contained personal items and a quantity of a white crystal substance, suspected to be methamphetamine. The owner of the backpack could not be identified. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold restraining order violation
On Sunday, Jan. 1 at 1:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a violation of a restraining order. The suspect was gone from the scene upon the deputy’s arrival. A report was taken for a violation of criminal protective order. Report is to be forwarded to the DA for filing charges.
