Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Feb. 5

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017:

North Fork domestic violence
On Monday, Jan. 30 at 5:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225, regarding a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival parties were separated. The victim sustained a superficial laceration to his neck and was treated by EMS. Suspect was arrested and
booked into Madera DOC.

Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, Jan. 30 at 10:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Hwy 41 regarding a report of a burglary. Report taken, evidence obtained and case closed due to a lack of evidence.

Raymond narcotics found at school
On Monday, Jan. 30, the principal of the school located at the 31000 Block of Rd 600 reported the teacher located drugs and drug paraphernalia outside the classroom. The items were collected by the School Resource Deputy and booked into property at the Oakhurst sub-station. No suspect(s) were identified.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 425C in regards to a burglary report. Upon arrival, it was discovered that no burglary was committed, however, a building had been vandalized. A report was taken for documentation. There are currently no suspect(s) or witnesses. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 9:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of a residential burglary that occurred in the 47000 block of Forest Glenn Road. The report was taken telephonically, due to the fact that the victim was at work. The victim suspected his adult daughter was responsible for the theft. The victim is currently evicting his daughter from a home that is located near the residence of this crime. A report was taken for documentation, per the request of the victim. Case to be closed, due to a lack of investigative leads.

Raymond theft
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft that occurred in the 32000 block of Road 600. The suspect was contacted in the 35000 block of CA-41 and placed under arrest. The stolen items were recovered with the suspect and later returned to the victim. The suspect was later booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case to be submitted to the Madera County District
Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 1:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of River Park Road regarding vandalism. Report taken, evidence obtained and case closed.

North Fork public intoxication
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. It was reported that the female broke a mirror on a subject’s vehicle. The victim of the broken mirror declined to pursue any charges. The female suspect was placed in custody and booked for public intoxication. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst car accident at school
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at approximately 3 p.m. a school administrator located at the 50000 Block of Road 427 in Oakhurst reported a minor vehicle accident in the student parking lot. There was no injuries reported. Report taken by the School Resource Deputy for documentation only.

North Fork arson
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 7:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding arson in the area of Road 224 / Wilcox Drive. No suspect leads. A report was taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold coroner’s case
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10:07 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst fraud
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 2:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 Indian Springs Road regarding identity theft. The identity theft packet was reviewed and forwarded with the case file. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork narcotics
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 3:38 p.m. a deputy was contacted by a citizen in the 33000 block of Road 222 wanting to turn in suspected narcotics. Report written.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 3:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 School Road regarding theft of a cell phone. The victim advised that her ex-boyfriend may have stolen it from her vehicle, but she requested us not to contact him. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 5:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to an intoxicated female. The female was contacted and determined to be under the influence and arrested. The female was transported to the jail but sent out to the hospital for medical clearance. The female was cited out from the hospital. Forward the case to the Madera County DA’s Office for charges.

North Fork burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 5:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Pahuma Lane regarding a residential burglary. There were no suspect(s) and a report was taken.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 6:15 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of Highway 41, regarding a residential burglary. Upon arrival it was determined there was forced entry to the back door and a flat screen television was taken. Nothing else was stolen from the residence. Suspect is unknown.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 11:59 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. All evidence was collected and a report was written. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for
charges.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, Feb. 2 at 1:15 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Road 416 and CA-41. A male passenger in the vehicle was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. The male was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections without incident. A report was written and the case was closed.

North Fork Sheriff’s vehicle damaged
On Thursday, Feb. 2 at 2:17 p.m. the Madera County Sheriff’s Office was conducting training in the area of Hartley Road and Crane Valley Road when a Madera County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was damaged. Case closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Thursday, Feb. 2 at 2:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a local business in the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive in regards to a fraud. A report was taken. Evidence gleaned. Forward the case to detectives.

Coarsegold narcotics found
On Thursday, Feb. 2 at 4:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 46000 Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics by security personnel at the casino. Refer report closed.

O’Neals juvenile danger to self
On Friday, Feb. 3 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 200 regarding public health of a juvenile. A mental health protective hold was placed. Close the case.

Coarsegold child abuse
On Friday, Feb. 3 at 5:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Seminole Drive in regards to child abuse. The child victim was placed on a protective hold and the suspect was arrested and booked into jail. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges. Forward to Madera Child Protective Services

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 8:16 a.m. a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle at CA-417 and CA-41 behind the business. The passenger had a warrant out of Mariposa County. He was cited and released. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold vehicle impounded
On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had expired tags at Yosemite Springs Parkway and Long Hollow Drive. The driver had a suspended California driver’s license and the vehicle was towed by Doc’s Towing. Refer to traffic court for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 12:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding theft in the area of Road 425b and Road 426. A report was taken, close the case.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 46000 Road 417 regarding a 911 call. The subject had reported that he was followed the night before at 11 p.m. by unknown subjects near the casino. He had an outstanding warrant out of Madera County. He was cited and released. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold weapons
On Sunday, Feb. 5 at 1:01 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 44000 block of Person Loop North regarding a family disturbance with the father shooting off rounds with a handgun. Upon arrival deputies contacted the male’s adult daughters who advised they got into a fight with their father and he shot off three rounds before he pointed the firearm at them. The females advised that their father was intoxicated and still in the residence. Deputies ordered the father out of the residence, at which time he was taken into custody. The father suffered a laceration to his head and was treated on scene by EMS prior to being booked into the Madera County Jail.

Coarsegold stolen vehicle
On Sunday, Feb. 5 at 6:46  p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Shah Lane regarding a possible unreported stolen vehicle that was located in Riverside County. Through investigation it was found the license plate of the vehicle
was stolen while in Riverside County a few days before. Report was taken and forwarded to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Case closed.

Coarsegold tresspassing
On Sunday, Feb. 5 at 8:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a trespasser. The subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue the charges.
