Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Dec. 25

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Dec. 19 to Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016:

North Fork family disturbance
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 5:40 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a family disturbance in the 31000 block of Road 222. Upon arrival, one adult female was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. The female was later booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 9:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive regarding a report of vandalism. During the investigation it was found to be a vehicle burglary. Report taken and case closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 8:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a theft. A report was taken and the case was forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office for charges.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 8:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a theft. During the investigation, it was discovered that the possible suspect had one active warrants for her arrest. Citations were issued and the female was released from custody.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 2:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 427 in regards to a report of vandalism to a gym door. A report was taken, case closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 2:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 425A regarding a male subject running through neighborhood. During the deputy’s contact with the male subject it was determined he had an out of county warrant. Report written and case closed by arrest.

Bass Lake found property returned 
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 7:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 regarding a report of found property. The owner of the property was located and notified. The property was booked as found property. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Monday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated subject. During the investigation a female was arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 11:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 41000 block of Old Barn Way regarding a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Report taken and case closed by arrest.

Bass Lake golf cart stolen
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 3:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 and Road 274 to investigate a theft call regarding a stolen golf cart. This investigation was conducted via telephone. A report was taken and the case is closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 4:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a fraud report. A report was taken and the case was closed due to the lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation lobby regarding a possible vandalism. A report was taken and the case was closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 10:58 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 49 and Harmony Lane for expired registration. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for possession of drugs and given a citation/promise to appear and a court date.

Oakhurst illegal substances
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 10:44 p.m. a deputy responded to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane regarding the report of found illegal substances. During the investigation a female, 18, was taken into custody and booked at MCDOC. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2:48 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 49 and Oak Park Way for no front license plate. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on drug related charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 6:21 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call of suspicious activity in the area of the 40000 block of Highway 41. An investigation was conducted and the deputy determined the male in question to be a danger to himself and subsequently placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Oakhurst possible gasoline theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 8:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Road 426 regarding possible theft of gasoline from a vehicle. The reporting party advised that he was not sure gasoline was actually stolen. Report taken for documentation.

Coarsegold fraud
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 9:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 35000 Wells Road regarding possible fraud. The victim was standing by in the Oakhurst Substation lobby. A report was taken for documentation.

O’Neals warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 10:16 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject in the area of Road 200 at the cross of Road 8032 in O’Neals who had outstanding arrest warrants. The subject was arrested and booked into jail.

Coarsegold child ingesting possible poison
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 11:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 35000 CA-41 regarding a child, 3, who had possibly placed some acid in his ear. Per EMS, who called poison control, the child did not need to be transported to the hospital. The mother took the child to the doctor on her own.

Oakhurst missing person
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 1:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Alerna Way in regards to an adult female who wished to report her daughter as missing. Attempts were made to locate the subject with negative results. The subject was entered into the missing person’s system and the case will be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold fraud
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding fraud from the casino in the area 46000 Lucky Lane. A report was taken and the case was closed.

North Fork found wallet
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 428 regarding a found wallet. The owner was left several voice messages and deputies were not able contact her. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

North Fork lost property
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 11:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 59000 block of Road 225 in regards to a lost property report. The reporting party was contacted via telephone and a report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 11:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Greenwood Way in regards to a customer harassing a local business. A report was taken and the customer wascontacted. This report was for documentation purposes only.

Ahwahnee trespassing
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 12:07 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 619 regarding trespassing. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail. The case will be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office for charges.

Coarsegold fraud
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 31000 Long View Drive regarding a fraud case. The reporting party advised that someone had attempted to open a line of credit using her husband’s name. She requested a report for documentation. Requesting this report be suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst adult protective services
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 3:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Spook Lane regarding a possible sexual assault. Detectives were notified and became involved in the investigation. It was determined that no sexual assault occurred and a report was taken. Adult Protective Services (APS) were on scene with the deputy. This case will be forwarded to the APS for review.

Oakhurst woman assaulted
On Thursday, Dec. 22 at 6:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding an injured female who was found walking on the roadway. Upon investigation it was discovered that she was assaulted, possibly domestic. She refused to provide any information, and was transported to the hospital. A report was written. Closed case due to victim not providing any information.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 1:53 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on CA-41. The male driver was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant and DUI. The female passenger was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance. All evidence was collected and both suspects were booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. A report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for charges.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 2:26 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a theft of a wallet. An investigation was conducted and a report taken and will be forwarded to the detective unit for review.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 9:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business in the 30000 block of CA-41 in  regards to a vandalism. A report was taken and evidence collected. Closed the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold elder abuse
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 2:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 in regards to a 911 hang-up. Deputy discovered that a elder abuse situation occurred. A report was taken and Adult Protective Services was informed. An Emergency Protection Order was granted. The case will be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Coarsegold found property
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 3:43 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a found property report. The items were collected and placed into evidence.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Friday, Dec. 23 at 3:59 p.m. a deputy took a report from a resident of the 40000 block of Millstream Lane regarding theft of mail from a post office mail cluster. No suspects at this time. Report to be forwarded to the US Postal Inspector.

Coarsegold vandalism with firearm
On Saturday, Dec. 24 at 8:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 regarding a vandalism to a business. Upon arrival, it is determined that a firearm had been used to to shoot out windows of the business. Four spent 20 gauge shell casings were located and collected at the scene. Photographs were also taken. A possible suspect was named and a statement was later obtained from the suspect.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 7:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of South Oakview Drive regarding a report of a burglary. Report taken and case closed.

Ahwahnee minor arrested
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 8:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Leach Road for a family disturbance. A juvenile male, 17, was detained, arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Juvenile Hall.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 3:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Tioga Drive regarding a residential burglary. There were no suspects on scene. The scene was processed and evidence was later booked into property. Report is to be forwarded for processing of evidence.

Coarsegold person in distress
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 5:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding a suspicious subject. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital by ambulance.

Oakhurst assault
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 6:19 p.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 block of Long Hollow Drive regarding a report of battery. During the investigation each party advised they did not wish to file charges against the other.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Sunday, Dec. 25 at 7:46 p.m. a deputy made contact with a subject who was sitting in a parked vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business in the 40000 block of Junction Drive. The subject was found to have three outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. He was placed into custody, issued citations and released from custody. This case has been cleared by arrest.
