Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Apr. 9

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Apr. 3 to Sunday, Apr. 9, 2017:

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Apr. 3 at 12:07 p.m., a deputy at the Oakhurst substation was dispatched to speak to a reporting party concerning a petty theft, said to have taken place on the 47000 Block of Road 620. A report was taken.

North Fork criminal threats
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 6:01 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a criminal threats call. A Valley County Idaho Sheriff’s Deputy reported one of their residents was receiving threatening phone calls from a person residing in the 59000 Block of Mammoth Road in Madera County. The deputy contacted both involved: the reporting parties and suspect. A report was taken.

Coarsegold accidental death
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 9:10 a.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding an accidental death. During the investigation it was determined the decedent was thrown from his tractor causing his death.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding two suspicious males walking east on Road 417. The deputy located the male subjects and conducted a warrants/wants check on both subjects via dispatch. One of the male subjects came back with a active misdemeanor warrant. The male subject was cited, given a court date, and released. A report was taken.

Coarsegold property found and destroyed
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 3:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 Lucky Lane in regards to found property. Upon arrival, the property was collected and later booked into the Oakhurst substation for destruction.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 6:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of shoplifting. The deputy conducted an investigation and determined petty theft occurred. Surveillance video of the suspect could not be obtained and will be released by manager later on. Case will remain open until review of surveillance footage.

O’Neals harassment by phone
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 8:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 28000 block of Circle J Ranch Road regarding a report of a harassing phone call. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 11:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to an intoxicated female. The female was located and contacted, then arrested for public intoxication. Forward to the Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

Coarsegold under the influence of a narcotic
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 12:13 a.m. a deputy contacted a female at a business located on the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. The female was later arrested for being under the influence of a narcotic. Case recommended to forward to the Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 4:18 p.m., while on patrol a deputy observed a male subject known to have active warrants. The male subject was cited and provided a date to appear in court. A report was taken.

Oakhurst baby test tested positive for meth
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 3:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 Block of Canoga Drive to assist Child Protective Services concerning a three-month-old subject who tested positive for methamphetamine. A report was taken.

North Fork missing juvenile
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 5:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway juvenile. An investigation issued and a report was written. The juvenile was entered into the missing persons system. Case to remain open until the juvenile is located.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 9:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 50000 block of Cedar Ridge Circle North regarding a report of a burglary to a locked vehicle. The victim was not sure what, if anything, was taken from the vehicle. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork danger to self
On Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 11:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Mission Drive regarding a male subject cutting his wrist. An investigation issued and a male subject was admitted to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case closed.

Coarsegold harassment by phone
On Thursday, Apr. 6 at 9:09 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 in regards to a report from a local business about harassing telephone calls. A report was taken.

Oakhurst juvenile with marijuana
On Thursday, Apr. 6, a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road regarding a student in possession of marijuana. A report was taken and evidence collect. The report was forwarded to Juvenile Probation Department for review of charges.

North Fork report of fraud
On Thursday, Apr. 6 at 3:05 p.m. deputies took a fraud report that occurred in the area of the 33000 block of Road 221. A report was generated for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold ammunition found
On Friday, Apr. 7 at 10:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding recovered 9mm ammunition that was found in a garbage can. A report was written and the case is closed.

Bass Lake theft
On Friday, Apr. 7 a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 274 in regards to a theft. A report was taken. Forward the case to detectives unit to contact the Madera County Superior Court, Madera Division, for possible suspect video from the Bass Lake Court.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Apr. 7 at 1:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 regarding a suicidal a subject. The female was later located at Tenaya Lodge. She was evaluated and placed under a W&I 5150 hold per her request. EMS arrived and she was transported to Madera Hospital for mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst knife brandished
On Friday, Apr. 7 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding a subject who had reportedly brandished a knife. The victim originally left the scene, but was later located. The victim requested charges. Refer to DA’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Friday, Apr. 7 at 8:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of River Park Road for a report of vandalism. The suspect(s) is not known, a report was taken.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Sunday, Apr. 9, a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic violence incident. The victim and witnesses were contacted and a report was written. The suspect was contacted, arrested and booked into Madera DOC without incident.

Coarsegold person in distress
On Sunday, Apr. 9 a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 36000 block of Wells Road regarding an adult male acting strangely, running around the neighborhood and scaring the neighbors. Upon contact the male was found to be a danger to himself due to a possible mental condition and placed on a mental health evaluation hold. He was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation
and/or treatment. This case has been closed.
