Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Apr. 16

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Apr. 10 to Sunday, Apr. 16, 2017:

North Fork warrant citation
On Monday, Apr. 10 at 9:34 a.m. a deputy contacted a male subject in the 32000 block of Road 222 who was cited and released for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 2:56 a.m. a deputy was on patrol in the area of Junction Drive and CA-49. The deputy conducted a vehicle check and arrested the driver on drug-related charges. The arrestee was issued a citation and released from custody. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 8:44 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst hacking 
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 3:29 p.m. a deputy responded to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a report of hacking. During the investigation it was found that a port in certain modems were vulnerable and had been disabled by a hack. Technical staff advised it would be nearly impossible to locate the origin of the hack. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold found property
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 11:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive egarding found property. The reporting person was contacted and a statement was obtained. A report written and property booked for safe keeping.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 5:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Ca-41 regarding the report of theft. Upon arrival an investigation issued and a report was written. The case was closed due to lack of investigative leads.

North Fork vandalism
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 7:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 36000 block of Teaford Poyah regarding a report of a threat. During the investigation it was determined no criminal threat was made, however a vandalism reportedly occurred. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 7:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 427 and Oak Creek Intermediate school regarding an intoxicated subject throwing items at people. Upon arrival to the area a male subject was contacted and was found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The male subject was subsequently arrested and transported to Madera Department of Corrections and booked on public intoxication charges. Case closed.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 3:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 53000 block of Dogwood Drive regarding a report of an unattended death. The deceased male appeared to have passed away from natural causes. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Chief Coroner’s Detective Division for review and/or follow up investigation.

North Fork fraud
On Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 9:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an unknown subject who had called, falsely representing to be a deputy from Madera County Sheriff’s Department. The caller advised the victim that she had a warrant for her arrest for jury duty and to buy gold dot cards. Forward to detectives for possible follow up.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 12:12 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding domestic violence. No injuries were located and the reporting party recanted her statement. A general incident report was taken for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 12:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Skyline Ridge Road regarding a theft. There are no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. Report to be closed.

North Fork burglary
On Thursday, Apr. 13 at 6:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence at the block of 34000 Road 274 regarding an alarm that was going off. Upon further investigation it was determined that a subject had entered the residence and fled the scene. The victim was not home and was notified. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork vandalism
On Thursday, Apr. 13 at 1:39 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 57000 block of Road 225 for a vandalism report. Upon arrival a subject was placed under arrest and transported to Madera County Jail for Felony vandalism. This report is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

Coarsegold missing person
On Thursday, Apr. 13 at 4:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a missing persons case. A report was written and the adult was entered into the missing persons system.

Missing Coarsegold Man Found Deceased In His Vehicle

Coarsegold danger to self
On Friday, Apr. 14 at 3:50 a.m. deputies were dispatched to assist EMS with a combative subject who had overdosed on prescription medication. The subject was contacted and found to be a danger to herself and others and was subsequently placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.Case #: 17001517 Case Type:=

North Fork child welfare check and warrant arrest
On Friday, Apr. 14 at 11:14 a.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a welfare check of minor children. A male subject was contacted who had outstanding felony charges for his arrest and a misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and booked. Close the case.

North Fork burglary
On Friday, Apr. 14 at 1:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Road 222 to assist CHP on a stolen vehicle case. The vehicle was recovered by its owner. It was later found that the vehicle was related to a burglary at the 32000 block of Rocky Road. A suspect was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney to pursue charges.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Saturday, Apr. 15 at 11:03 a.m. a deputy responded to a Coroner’s case on the 50000 block of Presidio Way.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Saturday, Apr. 15 at 9:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a possible suicidal subject. After an investigation the subject was admitted to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case closed.

Coarsegold threat
On Sunday, Apr. 16 at 6:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a threat. The reporting party was the victim of another ongoing case in which the suspect was involved, charged and arrested. The victim did not wish to seek prosecution on this case. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop and store
On Sunday, Apr. 16 at 9:10 p.m. a deputy conducted a self-initiated vehicle check 42000 block of Road 426. The vehicle was towed and stored for expired registration over one year. Case closed.
