Madera County Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run

MADERA COUNTY — Law enforcement agencies throughout Madera County will be participating in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Tuesday, June 13.

The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run is to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics.

This year’s Opening Ceremonies will be hosted at the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, 2725 Falcon Drive, at 6:30 a.m.

The more than 24-mile route will be completed by runners representing various law enforcement agencies in Madera County. The Madera Police Department with run the first leg of the run from Courthouse Park at 7 a.m., and the final leg concludes at Veteran’s Park in Chowchilla at around 1 p.m.

The Madera County Guardians of the Flame invite the citizens of Madera County to join them as they carry the Flame of Hope from Madera to Chowchilla.
