Local Battalion Chief Earns Master’s Degree

COARSEGOLD — Anna Maria College announced that longtime area resident Bret D. Black successfully completed required courses and has received his Master of Public Administration degree.

Black is a Battalion Chief for the City of Clovis who has lived in Coarsegold for 16 years and is married to Nimai Black.

Congratulations are due Black for his hard work and dedication, as the father of three continued his education while working full-time.

Nimai jokes that her her husband was motivated to get his master’s degree before any of their offspring. He made it: son Mason will receive his in applied physics from Stanford University this December.

Anna Maria College is a private, co-educational institution founded in 1946
