MARIPOSA COUNTY — While the weather may not put one in mind of spring and flowering fruit trees, this is the time to be thinking about preparing for a bountiful harvest next fall.

How about trees that you don’t have to get on a ladder to harvest? Learn how to make your trees the best they can be at a free workshop sponsored by Mariposa Master Gardeners.
Former Farm Advisor Maxwell Norton, who specialized in fruit trees, will present the demonstration Saturday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at 9556 Banderilla in La Grange.
