CLOVIS — Civil rights activist, musician and longtime foothills resident Jimmy Collier will take the stage for two sessions at Clovis Community College on Tuesday, Feb. 16, with a reception to follow his second appearance.

Collier will present his music and experiences starting at 12:30 p.m. in Academic Center Building One, room 150. Later that day, at 6 p.m., Collier will give a presentation in the same building, different room: Open Computer Lab. A reception will follow the second appearance in the computer lab. There is no charge for either event. The singer, songwriter, and organizer has a wealth of experience from which to draw, having worked as staff entertainer for Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
