Household Surveys Conducted In Mariposa County

MARIPOSA COUNTY — On Oct. 25, 26, and 27, the Mariposa County Health Department, in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health, will be conducting household surveys in several areas in Mariposa County.

Survey teams will conduct random surveys between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to assess the medical and health impact of the ongoing drought in the county.

In addition to drought related questions, the Health Department has added a few tree mortality and general health questions to help them better understand the tree mortality impact to the household and the overall wellness of Mariposa County communities.

The survey teams will be driving identifiable vehicles. They will also be wearing an identification badge and an orange vest. If you are approached by a survey team and would like to confirm they are part of the survey effort, please call 209-966-3689, and the Health Department will verify their participation.

The following are the general community areas we will be in:

  • Lake Don Pedro
  • Coulterville
  • Lake McClure
  • Bear Valley
  • Mariposa Town
  • Mormon Bar
  • Midpines
  • El Portal
