Highway 120 Into Yosemite Closed Due To Storm Damage

YOSEMITE — Highway 140 through El Portal is now the only road into Yosemite National Park.

It has just been announced that Highway 120 (Big Oak Flat Road) is now closed between Foresta and Crane Flat, 24 hours a day, with no access to Yosemite Valley from west of Crane Flat.

The road has been closed due to continuing storm damage, according to the NPS website. It is uncertain when the road will reopen.

With Highway 41 closed north of Fish Camp due to the severely damaged roadway, Highway 140 from Mariposa is the only way into the park.

Call 209/372-0200 (press 1 then 1) for the most up-to-date conditions inside the park, and 1-800-427-ROAD for other roads in the state.
