Help Send Wendy To Washington

Letter To The Editor – Written by Kevin Barry.

Our battle for our parks & public lands is moving to Washington! Facing off with the National Park Service over the controversial preferred alternative options, including the removal of our concessions from the Park will be heard on July 9, 2013 in the Sub-committee on National Parks, Forests & Public Lands.

A long time Mariposa resident, Wendy Brown-Barry is a qualified & respected witness to testify.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET HER THERE.

As grassroots activists, it is critical that we support those who are supporting our values. This is a movement and there is no paycheck. We are involved because we care about our country.

To those supporters who are unable or unwilling to engage in activism for various reasons, we need you NOW. This is your opportunity to effectively push this issue to Congress. Your donation of $5, $10 or more will help these patriots get to DC. While there for a committee hearing on the matter, they will be meeting with California representatives in Congress & Senate to discuss many issues facing our area, parks & lands.

Long time Mariposa residents Kevin & Wendy Brown-Barry have helped lead this campaign against the National Park Service proposals & mismanagement of our parks & land. Like many Americans who are alarmed at the current actions & lack of accountability in most branches of government, Kevin & Wendy stepped UP. This is not easy, especially in a small community. We are up against big government and environmental mismanagement. We have a lot to lose if we don’t stand firm and it takes brave people to stand up against such opposition. Your support is needed now to accomplish this mission by donating towards their travel expenses to Capitol Hill where they will represent our voice.

Please help by sharing this request, donate whatever you can to ensure our voice is heard in Washington.

Thank you! Donations can be sent to:
