COARSEGOLD — Concerned citizens and dog lovers as far away as Pennsylvania have been asking about Hank the Yellow Lab, who went missing after a crash on Highway 41 yesterday afternoon.

We are delighted to report that Hank has been found.

Cody Lankton is a good friend of both Hank and Austin — the driver involved in the crash — and he drove out to the crash site in the middle of the night looking for the missing lab.

“I’ve been around Hank since he was just a puppy,” says Cody. “Hank doesn’t travel, he’s a ‘stand by my guy’ kind of dog.”

Cody says he pulled up to the crash site and Hank was sitting on the opposite side of the road just up from the Coarsegold Carving Station on Highway 41. Cody whistled, and Hank came running.

We can now report that Hank is sitting by the pool at Cody’s house, next to Cody’s Great Dane, and both dogs are healthy and happy.
