Half Price Sale At Cause 4 Paws

OAKHURST — Local thrift shop A Cause 4 Paws is making room for new summer inventory by offering big savings to shoppers. Everything in the store is one-half off, says owner Vicki Deane, including clothing, furniture, kitchenware, jewelry, antiques and appliances.

This blow-out sale will last until January 31. The store usually offers one-half off on two days every month: the 1st and 15th. This proved to be so popular, the shop has decided to make January their big sale month.

As regular customers may already know, all military receives at 25 percent discount on all purchases. The only exclusions to all of these discounts are on the purchase of consignment items.

Animal lovers and others, please remember that the store is collecting empty cans, bottles and glass containers.  These items will be recycled and, at the end of the month, all proceeds will be donated to the store’s spay and neuter program

Foothill residents are encouraged to collect their recyclables in plastic bags and to can bring their donations any time during the month. For every 13-gallon bag or a single equivalent donation the donor will receive a $10 punch on their Frequent Buyer card. When the card is full, it can be traded for free merchandise at the thrift store.

The thrift shop is locally known as a cat rescue and they have found homes for more than 500 abandoned cats and kittens. They also donate a $500 college scholarship to a local graduating high school senior each year called the “Future Veterinarian Award.”
