Grazing Ecology And Management Workshop

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) of Mariposa County in collaboration with Natural Resources Conservation Service and Mariposa County Resource Conservation District are organizing a workshop entitled “Grazing Ecology and Management” to be held on Wednesday, Mar. 12, at McCay Hall in Catheys Valley, CA.

The workshop will cover topics ranging from the principles of grazing management, grazing effects on threatened and endangered species, grass-fed beef production, grazing and working landscapes, adaptive grazing management for sustainability, and more.

The main goal of this workshop is to provide ranchers with information and tools that will help them manage grazing in ways that will promote rangeland productivity and sustainability.

Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the workshop will run from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost for this workshop is $25 and includes lunch, snacks and handout materials. Pre-registration is required by Mar. 7.
